Hi..i'm new to this forum,
i was just wondering if anyone can tell me what companies produce cold air intakes for the protege 2000 lx, turbos, intercoolers, valve covers, a good dual exhaust, front roators and how much will the each cost......my main problem is i can only find short ram and i don't want that, unless there isn't much of a difference.
If anyone can help me with tah it would be apprieciated.
Thanx

the 1.8L in the 2000 models are similar to the 2.0L variants in the 2001/02 Proteges/P5s...they are both F-series engines
the main difference is the ignition system and the displacement difference...
This means the intake systems should fit either one...if you like CAIs then Injen has a kit that'll fit....hell, they even have one for the 1.6L motors in the base model proteges!
PRM will also make you one....check JCMP3's posts

A-Spec in Etobicoke also has a few tricks up their sleeves, like forced induction (fabricated turbo kits) for the 1.8 BP & F-series motors ... Aside from what Raymond had already mentioned, you can also order performance parts (mostly Mazdaspeed J-spec parts) from Corksport.com in Portland, Oregon and they have numerous hop-up stuff for the G3 Proteges. Mazda Motorsports (Mazda Competition Parts), a Mazda subsidiary, also carries extensive listings, & parts can be ordered & purchased online.
