I have just ordered a HID kit from DDM for hy headlights. The colour of them is 6000k. I want to get regular halogen bulbs for my fog lights that will be close to the colour of 6000k HID. Would 8500K halogen be way more blue or pretty close to it?

you won't find a halogen bulb that will match your HID's. Put yellow film on your fogs to give it a nice contrast imo.

^ I'm not a fan of the yellow fogs. I just want to know how close will 8500k halogen be to the 6000k HID's

bulbs advertised as "HID" colour are usually just coated bulbs. you'll get more of a dull/dim blueish colour that won't match the HID's. I've done the same in my p5 in the past. These bulbs usually burn out faster because they run too hot. Most of them run at higher wattage to try and compensate for the coating that dims the light output.
I guess to answer your question more directly, halogen will not even come close to matching the look of your hid's. ...and will look like ass.

well i'm going to be changing my drl's to my fogs and i only want them to look semi close to my hid heads. I know already that the fogs dont put out very much light so this is just for looks. I currently have been running since before the winter 5000k bulbs off ebay for my fogs and have had no problems. but i know that 5000k halogens will be no where near 6000k HID. i just want to know if 8500k halogens would be more blue then the HID's or would 7000k be closer?

Disable your DRL's completely and get 6000k HIDs for the fogs.

^ I've thought of that but i dont want to spend money for the fogs yet. and i want to have my fogs on separately from my headlights.
