Hey Guys,
I have a question.
Does anyone know if there is a way to keep the shift boot up when you use a MOMO shift knob? The design with the 3 screws seems to not allow the boot to stay up. Does anyone have a solution to this problem. I really don't have the money to buy a new boot. Thanks!

All right, i had the same problem, so this is what i did. an easy 2$ mod. Get a washer that will slip over the shaft of the shifter and a jubilee clip (available at Home depot for 2$ tops.
K. Take the jubilee clip put it over the shifter put the wash on top, then put the shifter boot ontop (do not attach to plastic surrounds. Put momo shifter on, do up all three screws and screw on the surrounds around the screws.
Now pull up on the Shifter boot so it is theoretically inside out but cannot be removed from the Shifter because the Knob is in the way. Push the wash up so the boot is tight agains the the bottom of the know, pull the jubille clip up flush to the bottom of the washer. Tighten Jubilee clip --- Voila. boot attached tight to underside of momo knob.
Reattach the rest of the boot. This is a little difficult and time consuming as it is often hard to get the shift boot around some of the clips.
If you have any questions please ask, i can help you if need be.

Or you could buy a MOMO boot that will fit perfectly into the base of the knob....There is a part out there from www.corksport.com as well. The MOMO boot does look nice though....if i get a chance i'll post a pic
later
