Here's the background

Original kit initial symptoms were only the drivers side:
- HID bulb had a slight flicker (almost resembled a flame)
- Flickering became more apparent
- Bulb flickers only once warm and stopped flickering for a few seconds if turned off and on.
- Eventually bulb did not ignite or flickering became extermely bad

The bulb also flickered on the other ballast, so I assumed it to be the bulb.

I replaced the bulb with a new one, and everything was ok.
Except for after a few weeks of use the bulb does not turn on now. The ballast is trying to ignite the bulb for a few seconds, but can not maintain a constant charge.

Is this a faulty ballast?

Sounds like it. If it has wrecked 2 bulbs now i cant see it being anything else.

What make? and do you still have a warranty? Do you have a relay kit?

A relay kit may work and stop the flickering.

Try a seperate ground for both, It seems like that based on the fact it would come on an dshtut off once the bulb is warm. I know with HIDs they consume the most power when initally turning on which is contrary to what I am saying, give it a shot.

sounds to me like you have a bad ground, try attach it to something more clean.
