FREE! (Got two years free service when I bought the car)

They hose you, and charge to 'inspect' and lube the car.
Look in your service book, and next time, ask for an oil change, thats it...untill its time for an air filter, or plugs or something like that.
(It amazes me how many people still go to the dealerships for service.)

dont they say that if you dont follow their maintenace schedule then it might void the warranty?

If you do your own work and follow the maintenance schedule, as long as you have receipts, you're okay.

If you do the work yourself keep a log with receipts. As long as you have a detailed log than they can't void any warranty. Found this out on Guys Garage on MOJO radio.

Just go to the dealer and they should be cheap (assuming you do not want to get dirty) ... if you get what is just needed then it is cheap.
$20-$30 for the 8k checkup ... just an oil change
Read the manual to make sure you know what is needed (recommended) and don't let them sucker you.
At times I do not like to get dirty so I went there and had them do a quick oil change ... they try to tell me that I needed to rotate the tires ... so I told them that I am putting the summers on next week and they said "well it should still be done" ???

Anyone here do an early oil change at 4k, then do the regular changes as recommended in the manual?
