Who: ALL TOProtege Members
What: Cruise + Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival
Where: Purple Woods Conservation Area (south east corner of Coates Road and Simcoe Street on the Oshawa/Scugog boundary)
When: Sunday March 22nd 2009; MEET at 9:30am AT KENNEDY COMMONS; Leave at 10am and arrive by 11am-ish.
Why: Cruise and Pancakes...why not?!
Cost: General Admission 3 bucks and Pancakes are 4.50 for 3 pancakes and a drink.

Cost Info Expanded:
General Admission
Adults - $3.00
Child - $2.00
(12 yrs and under)
Seniors - $2.00
Family Pass - $7.00
(2 adults and 3 kids)
*General admission does not include pancakes or wagon ride

Pancakes
Proceeds go towards non-profit organizations.
Adult Serving:$4.50
(3 pancakes and drink)
Child Serving: $3.50
(2 pancakes & drink)

Notes:
Heres a rundown of the plan, Were going to meet at KENNEDY COMMONS (where the Chapters/TD Bank is) at 9:30am. Were then going to have a little chat about the rules of a cruise and distribute the cruise route. 10am we depart and arrive at the conservation area by 11am ish.

This CRUISE IS NOT a race. IF you cannot abide by rules or remain safey behind the vehicle infront of you please dont come. You are all expected to abide the cruise guidelines (Guidelines can be found here - http://www.toprotege.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11774 ) and agree if you are to come. You are representing TOProtege on this cruise, and expect everyone to have their heads on properly, it only takes 1 person to ruin it all.

Items to Remember:
-Full tank of Gas
-FRS Radios
-Cameras for the natureish walk and drive to and from
-Bundle up incase if there is cold weather
-Go to the washroom before the cruise (just in case ;))

any rough idea of a cruise route that we can see beforehand?

also you may wish to add in an advisory about having winter tires on depending on what the route may be like. unless you did and i missed it. nothing like showing up for a cruise when you think its on bare pavement and you have summers on and you go ice skating into another pro. :(

Purple Woods is in North Oshawa if I'm not mistaken. Unless we get snow and below zero temps the roads should all be clear. Maybe wet but probably not icy.

My snows are stayin on til April just in case.
