Does anyone know where I can find a thread that shows how to do this on a P5 with pictures and good explanations?

HIDs can't be run as DRLs AFAIK...well they can, but not by having your "stalk" at the DRL position.

Well I've been told that it will work if I hook up a relay from the HID to the battery to give it more juice...then they will act as my DRLs, but they will also act as my normal lights when I turn everything on (the HID's will stay the same and my fogs and rear lights will just come on).

basically what the relay will do is turn on the lights for you when you turn your key to the 'on' position and the e-brake is down. That's it that's all.

My High/low kit came with that feature just uses the headlight harness as a turn on source but draws power direct from the battery through a relay built into my high/low controller. so it is possible to do.

www.xtremeproducts.ca (http://www.xtremeproducts.ca) has a fix, Tool Tyme in Whitby on Hopkins Rd sells an EMI suppressor that is supposed to work.

Did you buy the anti flicker cables?
No, I am going to reroute my DRL's to a couple LED strips when I take my headlights apart
Apparently-so I've been told- You can use any bulb out warning canceller, as all they are, are capacitors that change low voltage to 12V. This is what the Rep from Apexcone told me.
I yet to see, this actually done on a vehicle. It is put in writing on xtremeproducts website that their cable will fix the issue.
I haven't promoted the bulb out canceller as a fix on my own website until I know for sure that they will work, however, xtreme products promote their own cable as such.

will the relay harness stop the flickering as well? im assuming it flickers because not enough juice to the headlights?

That's the whole purpose of the relay. Just an FYI, I never figured this out and just ended up cutting my DRLs so I don't have them anymore.

The install is not specifically from a P5. Its the same wiring into any car. Its a matter of you wiring it safe. If you know how a relay works and how the HIDs are powered, your good to go. Heres how you would wire it with a relay.
85 - Ground
86 - Ignition (shows +12V when IGN is turned ON)
87 - Connect to the wire that powers the HID's ballast +12V
30 - Connect to the cars +12V and FUSED with 20AMPs
Now to get it to work with the parking brake so its OFF when the e-brake is UP....you need another relay.
This setup would turn your HID's as soon as you TURN ON your car. No need to turn the HEADLIGHT ON as it is already ON for DRL. Switch can be added on pin 85 of the relay to TURN THE DRL OFF.
