Maybe that's how shit works in the west, with the i'll scratch your balls you scratch mine mentality, but not in the East.
If Anson wants to be Eastside rep, then he can nominate himself to the position.
Or feel free to nominate him yourself.
oh, almost forgot:)

QUESTION:
1. What do you plan to do to revive the Eastside?
2. How will you deal with the criticism of prior Eastside statements/issues?

Can you give specific examples of statements or issues that have led to criticism? Or are you just looking for a generic answer here?

A generic answer is fine.

For question 1, I'd agree that Eastside has been quiet recently, and this being my first winter with TOP I would assume a lot of this has to do with "The Winter Blues" I've read about in previous posts. During the Summer and Fall there were always a good amount of people at the weekly Eastside mini-meets but when the cold weather started the posts for weekly meets stopped. Without any info on the forum as to who would be showing up, no one would even know what was going on if anything at all. Step 1 to fix this would be to start posting meets again, so the regulars know who's coming out, and encourage some new faces to stop by. I'd also like to see some more team-based events. Like when we went bowling a few weeks ago, woulda been nice to have teams for Farmside, Westside, Eastside...etc. compete. Getting more people out to the weekly meets will also make it easier to let people know what the Club events are like.
Question 2, a generic answer is kinda tricky. Most of the posts I've read on this forum are positive, and most people are here to help each other out with our common interest. However, arguments can happen, we're human and not everyone will agree with everything. If there is a personal conflict between two individuals it's really their business, and it's my opinion that it should be dealt with by them privately. Should one of the two sides feel uncomfortable approaching the other then by all means they should ask for help from their Rep. or another officer, even if it's just to open up communication. There's no need to let things linger, especially if it turns out to be some kind of simple misunderstanding.
Statements or issues that happened in the past (without specific examples) were likely out of the control of whomever becomes the new Eastside Rep. again, best dealt with by those involved.

1. What do you plan to do to revive the Eastside?
Revive? The Eastside doesn't need to be revived. There is still a group of Eastsider's that get together more or less on a weekly basis. We don't need catch phrases and slogans to meet up. And if anyone has read the forum, it ain't hard to find out what the East is up to.
During the summer, the East is busy. KC on Wednesday's is usually full and there are always a number of Eastsiders at the other meets. Of course we don't have the self confidence issues like the west were we have to toot our own horn every 4 seconds to make us feel better.
2. How will you deal with the criticism of prior Eastside statements/issues?
Most of the forum members are grown men and women. They should be able to deal with a little criticism. If they can't, too bad. The Eastside ain't for kids and we don't sugarcoat shit over here.

First thing we have to put the past behind us, and move on. (Some people know what I’m talking about). To revive the eastside I will do the same thing what I did at all the car show, and that is make sure people know that we are still round with all the meets. I’m not a person of word, but a person of actions.

I've said this before, perhaps jokingly, but I actually think there might be merit in merging Central and East in to one clan. Don't the numbers support the idea at least? I know that is easy to say that coming from the largest clan in terms of numbers. Maybe even from a Geographical perspective, the idea makes sense?
Good to see people actively involved in things regardless.

Both Central and Eastside have strong numbers. I've been out to meets in both areas, you should check them out and see what they have to offer.
...back to Eastside Rep. nominations and questions!

OK thanks! I would love to check out the other clan meets. The food alone will be worth the trip.

Sorry for the late reply....
1. The whole eastside thing has meerly been a lack of presence at events and on the board... Like Anson said... I think it's time to move on and forget some things. I'll take it upon myself to post up when/where our weekly meets are occuring.
2. I don't think anyone has to deal with previous issues. Especially those of us who have remained neutral in situations... Some people take what's said on this board way too seriously and/or personally. Most people though, have been able to take it for what it is: a place to interact with people that share common interests. Nothing more, nothing less.
