Update on the instrument lamp problem. I put a screw in the lower section of the console and accidentally skewered two wires together shorting out the system. This caused no end of trouble! Luckily the section of harness was the tail end of it with only two lights attached. After removing it and replacing the rotary dimmer switch with one from a 626 Cronos. (Weird huh?)End of story is it works beautifully. Tip: DO NOT PLACE BOLTS AND SCREWS IN DASH UNTILL WIRES ARE SAFELY OUT OF THE WAY!
