One of my friend who used to be a mechanic is starting a shop to sell rims & tires. His store is not ready yet, but if you know what you want, I can get a quote for you.

How bout Tire World in Brampton?
Steeles and Melanie Dr.
But the perennial winner handsdown is CHEAP THRILLS. I usually see their ads in Buy and Sell publication in the Auto section. Just phone for directions as I beleive it is just off the 401w and some Hwy#__ heading south.
Cheap Thrills in Milton is the coolest place I've ever been to as a s#!t load of rims are on display with prices inside a barn and tractor trailer. Just bring some damn cash.
They'll even throw in the proper nuts, but I think that they are supposed to do that anyway. I may be getting my winter steelies from them or at least check them out. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif

Wheel and Tire zone will help you out, that is where i got my rims from. Ask for Mike He knows about Toprotege and you will get some sort of discount. Great people too. It is located right next to Avante.

I went to Wheels Direct with 2 grand cash to pick up some rims.
They told me they had nothing that would fit my car for under 2 grand in 17". This was after that moron took 45 minutes to check out which wheels would fit my car.
Apparently they think that you can't go less than a 48 offset on 17's when my car isn't even lowered.
I highly suggest you don't shop there, they are completely clueless, and not worthy of any of my cash anyways.
I would recommend Superior Tire & Auto; Great prices and they really know their shit.
I am going to wait until next year to buy my Rims. (not enough summer left)

Shaun since you are a central clan member I can understand why you used the term "dubs" incorrectly.
Dubs are twenty inch rims.
I can forgive the mistake, but I suggest you pay attention when the WESTSIDE is schoolin'.
If you're car isn't lowered I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to go with a 43mm offset..... funny. The guy was probably being safe. But it is true that a 48mm offset is the best way to go with a lowered car (no problems at all - so Big Bird (Ed's MP5) says).

In any case, their ignorance lost them a sale.

For those not in T.O., or not afraid to take a drive, and are a little tight on cash/budgeting, there is a place in Kitchener called Rent-A-Tire where you can get your rims on a monthly payment plan. They seem to have an impressive selection (seeing as that's about all they do from the looks of their showroom). Can't find them online, but they're right downtown.

Has anybody ever purchased rims online?
For example, WHEEL MAX (http://www.wheelmax.com) has awesome prices on everything. I'm sure that there are some issues like having correct offset, but if the sales staff is knowledgable, then purchasing online might not be a bad idea. The only downside might be shipping and duty expenses. However, they seem to ship within the US for relatively low prices. If you have a friend along the border (Buffalo, Detroit), then it's only a short drive down to get some good inexpensive rims.

What is the approximate cost for the Rota Sub-Zeros? Is there a retailer in Toronto?

i wished i could put a set of dubs on the P5, but the largest i've seen on a P5 to date is a set of 19's w/ super thin tires wrapped around the wheels.....damn that shiet looked tight.....and i think the guy had to do some shaving to make it fit....... http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
