I know there is allot of this going around but....

I installed HIS in my wife's Astra. I don't know how to disable the DRL, so I got a relay.

With the relay installed, I turn the headlights on, the relay goes, click-click, and nothing happens, the lights do not turn on. I got the relay from e-bay, they guy sent me another one. Same thing. The guy said I must be installing it wrong, or the car won't allow you to do this. (apparently Mercedes have the same problem)

BUT, a guy on the Saturn forum has HIDs with a relay installed and they work fine.

Without the relay, (I just told my wife to make sure she always turns her lights on,) she said sometimes on light will go out, and she needs to turn the lights off and on again and they work fine, for a bit.

So, whats the deal, is the relay I got just junk?

relay is probably junk, relays don't use any power, and don't really need much of a signal to turn on, try swapping out the relay.
