depending on the deal we get for the group buy, i may also be interested in acquiring such wiring for my car, if not for benefits, at least to make it look nicer......you think they can come in specific colours like red???

our car is direct ignition system, but we have two ignition is just using 5mm wires, and what we are buying is 9.2 mm wire with some performance interm of material. so this will improve the ignition respon to those two which reduce lost of energy by those crappy factory stuff,
also the wire has color as well, but have to check which color.
my friends has 1.6el and a civic they said it improve a lot to their response.

these wires will probably won't give you horsepower increases, but will most likely give you alot better response. mate these to better spark plugs and you'll probably receive better gas mileage and better throttle response.

It might not be possible because he said theyd be like 140 for my car. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
Calling him tommorow. I called today but I think they close at 6 because no one answered.

Yellow or red for me. Yeah the car is red but then the Ractive Superflow hose is yellow, and colour is spiffy and makes much more horsepower when you work the Fen shui to emit a positive Chi for your engine compartment.
If you're going to be at the slalom I can give you your money there. Most of the guys at the slalom are probably potential customers.

Regarding plugs... what's available, what do they do (not "claim" to do), and is there a gas mileage benefit as I am still disappointed in the mileage I get.

The guy who posted about the wires initially mentioned that it improves low end torque.
Can anyone comment on this.
Also is there any difference in benefit (whatever it may be) between auto and manual. I have an auto.
I would be potentially interested but looking for some sort of notable improvement.
Please post

however i need the deposit before i can have any further talk with that guy, so may i suggest that we have a mini meeting tomorrow night (Saturday AUG 24 9:00) at D&B where 400 and HWY 7 is so that i can collect the money if we have more than ten, i am sure we can go cheaper.
who ever cann't make it by tomorrow, can do as another round.

EYT, if we are doing a group buy please give people sufficient notice for a meeting time and collection of money. At this time, it's easier to collect the money all at once instead of getting deposits and then having to meet up again for the final payment. Please get an EXACT price (item + tax + shipping cost to one location) for a group buy of 15 people. I know we have 19 interested, but 15 is a good round number since some people are saying that they are MAYBE. So please get all possible information, and then we'll setup a meeting time that will give sufficient notice to members for the collection of money. oh yeah, i'm pretty sure everybody wants red since it matches the strut bar.... so if nobody has a colour beside their name, they're getting RED (unless you say so ASAP). thanks...

Hey guys I talked to Speed Tech today and the 1.6 and 1.8L wires are different so they say we have to come up with a seperate group buy for them. So you can take any 1.8s and 1.6s off the list for your group buy.
I dont think enough people with 1.6s will come forward to get a group buy going for my wires so Im going in on monday and ordering a set for $140. Unless 5 people with 1.6s come forward. He said he would give us $20 off if there were 5 of us.

Just to add a bit more on the plug wires upgrade, you guys will certainly notice a big improvement on the idling issue, very common on Mazda compacts. Since my Magnecor upgrade a few years ago, idling on my 97 Protege have been rock solid and the response throughout the rev band have been smoother. The Sparco wires should be a great improvement over the stock wires, no question. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
