I know, this is a Mazda forum, so I digress, no racing pictures of the Mazda...yet, I don't think the wife'll let me race it anyway... plus it'll be way slower.

whoa! That civic looks nuts with those rims on it! Ive only seen it with those rusty 13s before.

Thanx Simon, I always have the 17's at the races but usually everyone's gone when I put them back on, I just painted the 13's last week, black on the back, white on the front.

Ha! I was going to paint my stock rims in mismached colours too! Ill just put the hubcaps on for everyday driving. I thought it would be funny for the slaloms.

I wanted them white, but then I figured the back'll get all dirty anyway, won't show as much on black. They're old VW wheels, you can't even see the back from the front anyway.
So you going to that other race instead of ours next week-end?

I'm getting some wheels powdercoated this winter, mine will be gunmetal... I was thinking of doing white on one side of the Protegé and gunmetal on the other side, but then when I trade/sell the car I'll have to fix that. Maybe I'll get them done gunmetal and buy two from the guy who has a set for sale in the classifieds and get them done white.

Yah I remember when you showed me those slicks at the slalom that I arrived too late for that those rims were the same as some I got off my buddies jetta.

A different colour of rims on each side of the Protege? Sounds like fun!
