Sept 14, 2008 - 2008 TOprotege Familia Picnic

The day called for rain... lots of it. It must have been the numbers of proteges in attendance that held off the rain until after the event ended.

The 2008 Annual TOprotege Familia Picnic is one of the major event for the Toronto Protege Club. Members traveled from all over Toronto and the surrounding cities to get together for this special family picnic. Although it was suppose to rain, days before the event, members had already decided to travel over for this event, rain or shine.

I had arrived at the meet a little over an hour late and the games were just starting as I arrived. I was directed to a spot to park, went to check out all of the prizes that were donated by the many TOprotege vendors, smelled some of the food coming from the BBQ, and looked at some of the many proteges parked. Soon, the games started and I quickly caught photos of the members.

After the first game, members lined up together and grabbed food from the BBQ. We all got to sit down, and chatted with other members while filling out some fun survey. As lunch was over, small groups were called over for the next round of the games. As quickly as the day started, it was already time to go. The awards and prizes were given out, and the President and Vice President both made their announcements thanking all the members of the club.
