Hey People,
Since I don't know how to create a poll on these boards, and if I really have access to making one but, I would like to know how much you are willing to pay for an official toprotege.com t-shirt.
Please give me an idea so that I can see what my friend can do for us. He is the owner and operator of:
Spirit Sportswear (http://www.spiritsportswear.ca)
Go to: Techno -> Catalogue -> T-Shirts -> Gilden 2000
That's the t-shirt he can print on for us, for less than $10 (incld. setup fee and taxes) and one colour. It is a good brand of t-shirt.
Lemme know what you guys and girls think. He can print on anything, including laniards and GOLF BALLS!!! lol

Really...t-shirts sound cool to me..

Having some club apperal sounds good to me. I wouldn't mind getting a t-shirt or two.
Five to ten dollars for a good shirt seems pretty good.

I'm down with that idea too!
I'll pay ten bucks or so for a good quality t-shirt.
I think some of the heads of state were thinking of a logo and font a few weeks back. Check in with them and lets get this organized asap. I'm eager to purchase one

Yah Richard, $10 to 15 bucks is certainly reasonable. I'd get one. Do you know anyone that'll do embroidery on a ball cap?

FYI there has been much talk in the Officer's Lounge about T-shirts. We are just finalizing some logos and T-shirt designs. Ed and I have already decided on a T-shirt printer in the Markham area - he happens to be a friend of Ed's and quoted us a very decent price.
The girls will have their pick of smaller T-shirts that will show off their breasts, narrow waists, belly buttons, and the sensuous rounded contours of their shoulders and backs. Women please do not worry about the T-shirts fitting baggy, I realize that you like em tight and the WESTSIDE would not have it any other way. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif

Yes Yes Yes.... The WHITE MAN is the Asian girls Kryponite. Asian girls like White Boys cause they are easy to handle and boss around. Hell just the other day I had a Pro5 cut me off. He had celtic dragon graphixs and a huge APC wing on the hatch. I got outta the car and walked over to that little Carrot Top Casper the Friendly Ghost Trailer Park Spam Eater. I told him that he cut me off and punched him right in the kisser. Three of his friends got outta the car later on to whisper some bad words at me while I drove off. White boys take about 3 mins to get your back, love to talk smack, and love to push each other in the chest (back and forth) and call it a fight. Oh and they also like close talking when they are mad.

lol! http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif This thread is the best entertainment I've had today! Maybe we should have a poll on Candice in tight white t vs Dave is tight whities?!
Back to the t-shirts, which for some bizzare reason seems like the topic of this thread (???), are we going to have club colours? Or can we pick the colour that matches our ride? Too many choices, too little t-shirt time ...
MP5Navy
August 12th, 2002, 05:22 PM
The colour of the T-shirt will end up being the colour of your ride. I've designed a logo and most of the officers agree but Tax and Dave (farmside) think we can do better. This design may show up on the back and a full graphic or over the left chest (or in Kee Wee's case breast).
Tell me what you think it reps the club. Also feel free to forward your own designs. If you don't know how to post pics you can e-mail them to me at pro5navy@hotmail.com (please do not add me to any lists that involve forwarded jokes of pics - thanks).

BTW Tax while we are saying the word suck. I think the TOPROTEGE.Com stickers all suck unless they came from the WESTSIDE (we do need a sedan version though).
I think the logo above would look much better with an oval that ran behind the buildings and in the foreground just below the club's name. Think it would add a 3D character to the logo. Can anyone please do this? something like:

In my opinion our tshirt logo or print should have some part of the car on/in it. The front looks wicked and gets instant recognition.
I thought of spelling something in the license plate but that may be too cheesy.
When I visited Wonderland right next to the mountain was a stand that would spray paint anything you wanted on a Tshirt. They were very exotic (california style) prints. If someone has the talent or will be going to wonderland its definately worth a shot. We could then duplicate them to create cool colour prints.
I am willing to pay up to $20 bucks for decent gear. I will also be making a cap with a logo (not sure what)
Someone asked where you can get a logo done on a cap and I am pretty sure that in Square one there is a stand where you give them a graphic file and they put it on a cap.
Please make this really really nice. i know that people who own VW (not clubbers but regulare buyers) often have some VW gear.
Lets make it real nice.
Also maybe regular t-shirt are not the way to go. How about tank tops (woo hooo for the ladies) and sleveless shirts for the guys....
Lizard is waiting to give his lick of approval on upcoming gear.
L:>~
PS Not to sound like whiner I will work on a graphic myself, but someone please look into the wonderland booth. THX
KeeWee
August 12th, 2002, 11:48 PM
I totally go for tank tops, but not that strappy kind (sorry dave). I actually prefer the muscle style tank tops...and maybe if we can get them a bit shorter in length (no, dave, not bra style) that would be awesome....at Darknights, PAS had those nice white tanks with the pink capped sleeves on them..i was able to swipe one off their table...

August 12th, 2002, 11:57 PM
Now that I've been looking at other car club logos I don't really like the one I posted. It's just to 2D. I'll have to think of something else.
Oh and Kee Wee I don't think you should wear a shirt at all.... How about a pair of well fitting pasties with fringes?
The tank tops are good ideas for the hunnies but I think a basic T-shirt is better than to torn off arm look (also gives room for some of the male club mates to mod their shirts if they want).

I'm not down with the logo - I agree that it needs to be sexier, sleeker - Not meaning to knock it or the work that went into it, but just my nickel.
And I'm with KeeWee - lace is too ichy, and when you wear a tight t over it, you get stupid lacy bumps and you look all lumpy. REALLY annoys me.
I'm down with the cotton and spandex (for working out.)

Not sure if it's much help or not, but theres a shop at the 747 flea market that designs stickers/logo's/t-shirts/hats...blah blah blah...
Not too sure on the prices, but im sure if we are getting a load of em we could cut a deal. I've seen some of the work they've done, and its not too bad.
We could have like a pic of the protege cartoon style doing a burnout or something or go in there with a few ideas and ask them to incorportate our logo and name and shit and get them to try and design something for us....
Only BIG problem is, is that it is done by air brushing.....so it could get rather expensive...

Mike the logo looks nice. Don't worry about "too much detail" cause I'm sure the guy at the print shop will have a way of simplifiying the design.
The design of the cars should be more abstract but still rep the body lines of a Protege. I'd recommend this so when body changes take place in the next 3-4 years our T-shirts will not look out dated.

I was first enlightened when Seadooguy stepped up to the plate. Is your offer still on the table for the TPC. Or Maybe GHETTO CONCEPT PERFORMANCE TRENDS needs a loga printed.
I'm currnently designing a picture/logo; some broken down Ghetto appartment buildings with some thugs working or stripping a caddilac and putting parts on a P5. Anyone is welcome to envision my loga and give me ideas. I'll hook you up with a COLDRAM INTAKE .

I like Tax's design. Its better with out the vents cause now the sedan DONT look like a Lancer...lol. Someone said to put one car on the front and the other and the back...that would get confusing cause it would look like the sedan had the ass end of a P5. I would like the 2 car design on the BACK of the shirt with a little design of some sort on the front in the MIDDLE OF THE CHEST (kinda small). Logos off-centered to the left on the front look like chessey 80's shirts. In the middle is a more modern look!

Is it too expensive or too much of a headache to do up TWO different shirts....... one P5 .... and one sedan version? They can both promote the group equally well.
It would be much less confusing too..... besides, as a P5 owner I don't really care to have a sedan on my shirt,...... I'm sure that some sedan/MP3/MazdaSpeed owners don't want a P5 on their shirt....
..... just my 2 cents
