April 30, 2008 - Formula Kartways Meet

[Spyder01]

April 30 marked the day for the Toronto Protege Club official april event of 2008. Lead by member, Starscream, member gathered at around 7:30pm at Formula Kartways located in Brampton for some Go-Karting.

Due to the amount of members participating (around 25), the race had to be split into 2 seperate groups as there were not enough karts for everybody. The location was awsome, the smell of exhaust filled the air. Earlier, I had already checked out a few locations for photos, in the end, I ended up running around between two spots for some shots :)

The meet ended at around 10:30pm where members went their separate ways home. There were quite a few new faces tonight at the meet as well :)

It was wicked... all i gotta say is, never underestimate a big guy driving ;)

LOL made it up from 2nd last to 2nd place...i did however manhandle a few people on the track. Formula Import owes me some free coilovers tho ;)

I'll probably plan another one in the fall, OR if people are game i'll set another one up sooner (for those that wanna come out, or have a rematch...)

That's pretty good for your first time...the killer on that track are the hairpins where you're tempted to fly around at pedal to the metal.

I got screw jobbed by the tracking system, it only recorded 10 of my 25 laps...im so pissed but by lap 8 I was at 33.01 and dropping...not bad for a 250lbs guy.

The record for the day was at 31.16 or something close to that
