So, I unlocked my car by remote this morning and all of a sudden after that, it didn't work. So I figured my batteries died in my remote, so my gf tried hers, it also didn't work, I thought it was strange that both didn't work and so I went to grab the 3rd and spare one, it also didn't work!?!?!??

I tried to reset the remotes, by holding down the hood pin, etc... but the parking lights never come on. So I traced all the wires and found the device under my steering column and touched it. A little green and red LEDs took turns turning on, with no sense of pattern when I hit it. Nothing I did got the hood pin to work. Any ideas what would cause this? Anyone else have any such issues?

Thanks in advance.

If you want to program the Pro start Hold the hood pin down for 5 seconds let go and press it down for 1 second again then let go. The parking lights should stay on for 20 seconds. Turn the key to ign then off and hold the lock button on the remotes and that will re-program the remote.

It could have lost programming but id check the antenna make sure it didnt slip out of the plug.

I tried to reset it once already, but the parking lights never come on. So I think it's either power or the system. How do I find the plug to the antenna? It looks like it's connected still, there's a red light on all the time now on the antenna...what would that mean?

valet mode.

if the LED is on the antenna. Cycle the key in the ignition on and off five times (or until the LED on the antenna, turns off)

I just tried it like 13 times (cycling on and off) without it turning off. Anything else can turn it off?

I believe the installer can disable ignition valet mode. But then you would have to use the programming button on the unit to set it to valet mode.

can't remember how to do that but you can look it up in the manual

Jeff,

That's awesome. I was thinking of stopping by sooner or later (you did my gf's sunfire right after Christmas this year) to get my deck reinstalled. I can't stand the job BestBuy did, it rattles non-stop! (BB did the install before I got the car, that's where the original owner took it)

I'll make an appointment and thank you again, then!
