As per the topic, anyone know off hand if our emission testing includes a visual inspection?

The reason I ask is that I'm interested in doing headers for the car, and several, if not most headers, remove the pre-cat. This would obviously be a bad thing if it states that all vehicles after a certain date must have 2 cats.

For the life of me, I can't remember my last inspection and what it included...

I think the answer is yes cause there was guy on the 2nd Gen Camaro board who's car kept failing inspection based on the visual inspection.

You know, I think you're right - I just now remembered that Dave has his pre-cat removed (custom down tube from Brullen) and he mentioned that he'd have to swap it back in there for the inspection...

Its a fairly easy swap in and out for emmissions the only real problem is if you get pulled over and they check under the hood but odds are they won't.

...and dont forget to get rid of that breather filter on your valve cover and put back the hose between it and your intake....
