Get in contact with ProBoy ... he seems to be the resident expert on this. Also, there isn't much on modified cars specifically, but you may want to do skim through this and use a search feature to find what you're looking for: ONTARIO HIGHWAY TRAFFIC ACT (http://192.75.156.68/DBLaws/Statutes/English/90h08_e.htm)

You have to be more specific in what you are researching.
The HTA is a blanket set of laws so each modification may lie in various sections separate from each other.
Most specifics on mods you will find under the "Equipment" section.
Post your questions here so we can get a discussion going.

Oh yeah, maybe check out this project I did for the board.
It may answer questions or make your head spin.

Im just going over my car to make sure that it meets all HTA codes and standards.. just wanted to know the basic ones. I have to prove that my car is "road worthy'! and the only logical way i can do that is make sure that it meets all codes in the hta and all additions are DOT approved.
I guess my two biggest concerns are the GC coils i have on my car and the possibility of putting a turbo.
Oh also white undercar lights are OK right?
I have looked through the HTA act already, but it doesn't seem to say anything about ride height - just width and length.... It also doesn't mention anything about turbo chargers installed on vehicles.
Thanks for your help.

i also looked to see whether they discussed ride height and the changing of your stock suspension, but can't find anything in that respect.....for that i think if it's reasonable, it should be okay, but reasonable is different from one guy to the next........as for the underbody neons, i think you can have them as long as you don't drive with them on.......at least that's what a cop friend once told me...

clear corners and altezza tail lights, will make ur car not conform to DOT standards, so if u think they are legal, why didnt the manufacture put them on before u bought ur car, lol

Yeah, for passenger cars there is nothing there that addresses ride height, mostly for commeercial motor vehicles.
But if your car is too low, like it drags and your muffler sparks, then that may be an indicator.
Under car neons, just like the project says, just don't use red, just to be on the safe side. And as long as they don't flash or strobe.
Alteeza's, this is a huge debate now becuse some cars have this style of tail light as OEM.
Just dont get the cheap crappy ones and make sure all the lights are the required colour is all.
