Anyone installed one of these yet? I can get one for $40 and my friend with a civic has it and it improved the throttle response dramatically! The pedal felt stiffer which I expected but any other drawbacks anyone knows of?

I don't understand. It just shortens the peddle throw. Why do you want this?

1 drawback-lessens your ability to percisely vary the amount of throttle you give. And its not really improving the throttle response of your engine it just gives you the mechanical advantage to flick the throttle body open faster. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I did some thing like this with my VW but I undid it when I realized what I had done.

Well I liked it in my friends car because when he banged a gear the throttle reacted very quick with no lag. In my P5 I find that I am already in gear and stomped the gas but there is a lag(small but enough to notice it) With the disc I was hoping that the throttle would keep up better. I am not worried about everyday driving....I know that the pedal travel is less but 90% of the time I'm not exactly "feathering the gas pedal"

Thanx for the info and opinions
