hey guys,
I just noticed a nice mark that looks like the doings of a misguided shopping cart. People need to get permits to push those buggies...ARGH!
So, itw ouldn't bother me if it was a scratch. But when it has pulled back a bit of the paint on my front bumper? yuck.
After cursing and stomping my feet, what should I do next? Any one have ideas of how I can do this myself?
Thanks!

"uh Oh better get Macco" literally...
If the chip is small you can cut the lifted piece of paint with a utility knife and use touch up paint to paint where the chip was. You can get touch up paint for free at a dealership. This is the only thing you can do as a home made fix. If you have a buffer you can clear coat (spray can from Canadian Tire) and buff to get a better result. They may even have spray paint that matches your car (yellow right?) it's probably better than touch up (in terms of even application). Just mask with tape and newspaper and spray after a thorough cleaning of the surface.
If the chip is huge and you can clearly see the underlying urethane of the bumper you will have to seek professional help.

I don't know about around the GTA, but around here there's a business called "Carsmetics" and another one called "Colorworks" They're mobile, so they can do the job while you're at work or at home or whatever, and they do a good job. Try looking for something like that if you don't want to do it yourself.
