The Toronto Protege Club has come a long way since it was formed in April of 2002. It started with just 6 members and has quickly grown to a current total of 3,142 registered users. Over this time, we have formed a great community that is rich with knowledge, helping hands, and good times.
toprotege.com a Voluntary Membership policy. Current sponsors and potential future sponsors tend to look for us to make some form of commitment to them, before they can reciprocate. Membership cards are a perfect way to do so. This reduces the risk element for our sponsors since anyone could claim to be part of any club, but without a card, they cannot prove it. This is the way with many car clubs, and it is the preference of sponsors.
Membership will also allow us to plan much larger events, and have the funds to actually do so succesfully. In 2004, toprotege.com held our largest event ever (MOM2). This event went off without a hitch due to the time and effort of many of our members and officers. There are obviously many costs associated with having such large events, and without the funding, we are not able to do so as much as we would like to.
By bringing in a nominal VOLUNTARY membership donation process, we will be able to:
1) Improve relations and promotions with current sponsors
2) Bring on new sponsors
3) Hold larger, more exciting events
4) Continue to grow this community
What does this mean to you?
1) $10 voluntary donation can be made through your clan reps or Romeo_Mp5 (Membership Officer) and will be kept in the toprotege.com bank account
2) Donations will secure you 1 year membership that expires ON December 31st of the current year.
3) Membership Card must be presented at time of pruchase when visiting our existing vendors
4) This money will be used ONLY for club realted activities
5) Officers will also be making the same donation
6) Nobody is forced to make the donation, but we appreciate those that would like to give back to the community (it is to everyone's benefit)
This topic has been discussed for the past year and a half, but it is finally coming into effect. In no time, you will see the benefits, and we thank you in advance for your understanding, and look forward to an incredible year!
