Official September Event: 4th Annual Familia Picnic

Fellow Toronto Protege Members,

It's with great enthusiasm that I announce the 4th Annual Familia Picnic. Once again, the celebratory event to give back to all the great members that have made the Toronto Protege Club as grand as it is now. The Familia picnic is an exclusive invite to TOProtege.com members and their families.

We invite all TOP members (past and present) to come out and enjoy a day of games, prizes, food, drinks and show & shine ALL FREE .... This event is paid for by the Toronto Protege Club, with donations from various sponsors and vendors. This is our way of saying thank you all for being such a great group and thank you for your generous donations... Let's get out there and enjoy it!

Summer is almost over, but the nice weather should hold up nicely ... over the next couple of weeks. This event has been a huge success in previous years and with your help this year, will be even bigger than last year's.

A special invite has been sent out to all the Sponsors/Vendors/Affiliates of TOP, to join us on this event-filled day. This is your chance to get out and mingle with them, or just come out for a burger .. or take part in one of the various games.

Games and Prizes include events like The two-man wheel-barrel race, three-legged dash, water-baloon toss and obstacle type of events ... all competing to take home some of the great prizes that have been donated by our Sponsors. Everyone can sign up to take part in the games, and it's the only way to win some free stuff ... so you don't want to miss this! The sign-ups for the games will be taken as you arrive at the picnic .. so bring your best sneakers and joggers ... it's gonna be a blast.

The day will also include a Show and Shine. EVERYONE that attends the event is entered, and we will announce the winner (by people's choice) for a Protege(sedans) and Protege5(wagons). Be sure to bring the car extra sparkly and shiny.

**IMPORTANT NOTE**
We need to have accurate numbers of who will attend this event, so that we can plan food accordingly. Please BE SURE to sign up before the cut-off date and indicate the number of people that will attend with you. Very important, as we don't want to have a shortage of food and/drinks for everyone that comes out. Please sign-up on or before Thursday, September 13, 2007 by 11PM

Clan reps will setup pre-meets in your respective regions, so please stay tuned for more information on those, as they become available.

Also, Eric (Spyder01) will also be available for photos, for anyone that hasn't had some really nice backdrop photos take of their car, now is the time to get out and possibly have your car featured in the 2008 TOProtege Calendar.

Again, I hope to see you ALL out taking part in this great event. Again, the events can only happen if you take part and make them great ...

The rain date would not be announced, until the day of. If it's POURING outside, then the event would be rescheduled for the following week, but there is no gaurantee until the morning OF the event.

I will post IF the event is to be resheduled. As it stands now, it is a GO for this Sunday. As for the games it will begin approx around lunch, I would estimate. Prizing and award presentation will be done at the end of the event.

Important Update

Pleas enote that there is ZERO alcohol permitted on this event. The park has strict policy where as anyone seen with alchol is asked to leave the park immediately.

I don't believe anyone here would bring alchol to this event, but I thought I should post it up, so it's weel known.

Also, keep in mind that Conservation parks charge a fee for entry into the grounds. The cost (byt the park) is $6.00 per adult, and children are free.

Please NOTE: This is a fee charged by the Metro Parks Authority and is not money charged by TOP. We have no control to take on this cost. Please be sure to bring cash, as I don't believe they have interac.

When you pull yup to the main gate, as the ranger on duty to guide you to the Toronto Protege Club. You can't miss us. Once arriving, please be sure to sign in with the person at the entry tent.
