As most of you know, Junior has been filling a double roll for the past few months. He has been juggling the Events Co-ordinator role, as well as Vice President. All of the things he is doing behind the scenes in his VP role are getting quite time consuming, so we have decided to open up the Events Co-ordinator position for Nominations. I am sure that you will all agree that Junior has done an incredible job organizing events for this club. He's brought forward new ideas and events that have gone through without a hitch, and we thank him for that. We can only hope that the new Events Co-ordinator whill share the same enthusiasm and drive that Junior has shown in this role over the past year +.

With that being said, the position will now be open to nominations from the forum.

What's Involved?
* Welcome new members to the board
* Organize the Official monthly events (for large events, all officers pitch in to help...ie: Familia Picnic, etc.)
* Co-ordinate with the area reps for pre-meets to Official Club Events
* Participate in regular Officers meetings (approx. once every month or two)
* Moderate posts on the board

This thread will be used for Nominations of who you think would do a good job filling the Events Co-ordinator Position. Feel free to make self nominations, or nominate anyone that you feel would do a good job.

If anyone has any questions for any nominees, feel free to post them here, and nominees, please feel free to answer them. Also, if someone nominates you, please reply to say if you accept the nomination, or if you decline it. Remember that this can be a time consuming role, so do not accept it if you don't think you have the time to commit to it.

Any posts that are irrelevant will be deleted without notice. Please let's keep things on track.

Again,....self nominations ARE allowed. Don't be shy.

We will keep this thread open until July 27th at the latest. If there's not much activity, we might close it early. So get your nominations and questions in ASAP. Once it's closed, the officers will vote in the new Events Co-ordinator

Thanks

As mentioned. Junior performed an amazing job while holding this position. There are definitely big shoes to fill. I hope that the next co-ordinator will have the same passion and enthusiasm for the role and the club as he does.

I would like to formally nominate Weesh. His personality, positive sprit and dedication I believe would make him a great Events Co-ordinator. Do I have anyone out there willing to second this nomination?

No need to second the nominations, or to reply saying "I vote for ___"

Once a nomination is up, that's all we need. If people want to show their support for someone....feel free. But I just wanted to mention that 2nd nominations etc. are not required.

It may not be required, but for the record, Weesh was the first person I thought of aswell.

Being a fairly unknwon to the club, and being from out of town and only able to make it to the big meets, I've found Weesh to be VERY welcoming and friendly everytime we've met (which is NOT to say the rest of you weren't). Also, he's active on the board and I've found responds quickly to questions and Pm's.

Weesh for Events Co-ordinator!

Edit - Hahaha, I just remembered, Weesh even offered to make it down to London sometime If I ever held a TOProtege meeting down here. Now THAT'S dedication to the club!

There is still a week or so for the decisions to be made. If you've been nominated, you don't have to decide now. Since it is a big position to fill, think about it for a day or two or even more.
