i was wondering if anybody knew of any shops that did vinyl decals. I want to put a windshield drop on but all the places I have gone dont do it.Have you guys ever considered getting some toprotege.com decals done up and selling them at a meet to get the name noticed??. I am sure you could get a group discount. I will keep looking around. would anybody be interested in sporting them if I could get a bunch??

hello...

was just wondering if car stickers are easy to take off? what sort of solvent or chemical would not be too harsh to take off the residue, if there is any? I was told to try windex cause bug and tar remover might be too harsh....

I have had decals on all my cars and I have never had a problem with any that are vinyl. no residue, paint lifting etc. the only problem I get is bubbles.

tax masta, how big are the decals, I wouldnt mind dropping a fairly large on on the bottom of my windshield or along the side of the car. those are the ones that I notice on other peoples cars.

I hope the one i have is vinyl...hmmm...lemme check..

What if it's not vinyl? does it have a negative effect on your car? even if it's just on your car for a year?

Kee Wee a vinyl sticker is one that you have to peel off the backing layer and stick it to your car, then peel off the remaining front layer. they are dye cut meaning that the design is cut from a large piece of vinyl. I found out that pretty much every store that makes signs for businesses and so on will do them. but I dont know about a custom design. stay away from the clear plastic ones that have stuff printed on them cuz they will leave a sticky residue when you remove them which collects dirt and turns black where the sticker was. dropping some decals on your cars is the best form of free advertising and if placed properly looks sick.

sorry for sounding like an idiot again, but huh? http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/withstupid.gif clear plastic ones? clear stickers you mean?

The one i bought has instructions where i have to put a sticker paper on it, turn it over, place the sticker on the car, and then peel off the back again. lots of sticky stuff and peeling to do with this doodad. so is that vinyl? i think sondra said it was if i had to go through all that trouble!
