2007 Membership Cards!!!

Thank you to all our members who have donated to Toprotege in the past. Your donation has helped us to plan many exciting events for our members, bring on new sponsors and continue to grow as a community of car enthusiasts.

As of today, all past memberships are now expired and past donating members will be moved back to the Members group.

However, the new 2007 Membership Cards are now available for members who would like to donate to The Toronto Protégé Club. These new cards look and feel better than any card we’ve had in the past.

Every member will receive the following with their donation:
1) Membership Card
2) Donating Member status
3) 2 White Toprotege stickers
4) Many great discounts with our Club Vendors
5) Increased PM capacity (300 total messages).

All 2007 membership cards will expire on December 31st 2007.

just one small note that there were a few members that paid for 2 years when they made their donations a while back. We have records of who did so (it's in our database), so those people will not be required to renew their donating member status this year (unless they want to), and we will issue you one of the new cards. There are only a few people in this situation though.

Because it is a donation, rather than a membership fee, any amount donated to the club is greatly appreciated. $10 has been the rate that majority of our members have donated in the past.

Again, keep in mind all the benefits that you will receive by becoming a donating member. The discount that you save from visiting one of our club vendors, more than covers the cost of the $10 donation already.

just an update:

Some of you may have noticed your "donating member" status has been removed. We made a global change for everyone, and will be manually adding those that have gotten new cards back to the new "donating member" group. This will happen over the next few days.

Those that paid for 2 years (and we have a record of who you are), will still need to get a new card from an officer since the card design has totally changed. You will not be charged for the new card, but you will still need to pick one up.

Anyone else interested in becoming a donating member, please see any of the officers at any meet or mini-meet and they will have cards with them.

Oh, no worries, Darren. I didn't realize it worked that way. I just thought that when the money was given to the treasurer of paid members it was updated. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yes, that would normally be the case. But we have a list in the lounge so that we know who has paid incase the money doesn't get to the treasurer right away (since officers are from all ends of the city and might not see Ed for a week or two). That way we keep track of all club funds, and also we can make sure to update people's status right away.

Unfortunately Cocco hasn't been on the board much these days, so I'm not sure who he has sold to. I sent him a PM and I've asked Anna to get in touch with him. I am sure when he reads the PM, he will understand the importance of keeping us all posted right away. He probably did not realize.

Again, my appologies to you. I can understand your frustration on this situation. Hopefully nobody else is in the same boat as you and wondering what is going on. However, you can donate more to the TOP Club. The membership is only valid for ONE year. (So i suggest you wait and get membership cards for 2008-2009, since 2008 is right around the corner)

To get one of these cards, you must speak to an Officer that carries these cards. The easiest way would be to go to your "Respresentative" in your area.

Some people that I believe could hook you up are:

They can register you and mail you your membership card and stickers. Either way contact an officer and I am sure something can be done for you.

no officers me and this other guys started to meet up once in a while. Than he came up with the windsor thread I told ppl about this website got couple ppl to join the forum (I also have a TOP sticker on my windshield) and that's how it started.
