A friend of mine will be purchasing a new Protege5 from Westowne Mazda
Want to know how they are...has anybody had problems claiming our discounts with them?

I've never had a problem with 'em with regards to the club discount.

I love the WESTtowne guys! They even let me in the back to help fix my car. Never have a warranty arguement and never have a rough time getting our discount.
Good guys and a nice and respectful receptionist (Maria).
I'd recommend them - I only wish I bought my car from them instead of Ontario Mazda.
Oh and BTW WESTtowne even stocks timbits and fresh coffee - for free! Hmmmm....

yes! WESTowne all the way! I bought my car off Dominic, the owner. Great guy and has supported the club when I first told him about it back in the winter of December 2001 (sh!t... has it been that long?! ). anyways, great service managers and staff. always smiling and helpful. they will always call you if they need to replace something on your car to get your approval (even for something simple like windshield wipers). the service is fast and they have candy and timbits for you. they've replaced stuff under warranty, no questions asked. highly recommended.

Ahh yes, Westowne.... I know them well. They're the ones who caused $6000+ damage to my last Mazda. They backed a 626 off one of the hoists right into my MX-6 and pinned it against the wall - both sides, the front end, and the hood were damaged. And they wanted me to have MY insurance pay for the damage!
Needless to say, I didn't buy my P5 from them.

Yes, Dominic is cool. I was waiting for service one time, and asked if I could try out the sportmatic. He led me down to the garage & let me drive a brand new P5 off for a spin. (My friend knew him.) The service department is very good. Knowledgeable about my typical MP3 issues, deal with Mazda Canada to find info & even call me to follow-up after the service was done!

Remember that Scarborough and Oakville Mazda offer a club discount on new cars (except limited edition models). of course, you can always get a price quote and then shop around.
