I am getting the Sparco Tecno shift knob soon, and was wondering whether it will simply screw onto my shifter? or does sparco products require additional screws and stuff?

not 100% sure, but i think that the thread may be different for the shifter and you'll need to get something to make it thread onto the shifter.......and i don't think that our boot is going to clip onto the shift knob and some modification may be in order......

In my experience none of the Sparco shift knobs (aftermarket) will screw onto out shifters. Although I wanted a Sparco Knob (to match my seats) I opted to go with a Voodoo knob that is threaded specifically for Mazdas (geared more towards the Miata). It screws on without modification to the threads on our shifters. If you have an aftermarket shifter there are several methods that can be employed to make sure your shifter boot stays up and looking pretty.
