j/ wanna give a brief short review on this little product....
(excuse my grammatical mistake(s))

ScanGaugeII (http://www.scangauge.com/)
Have the unit in my car for a week,
i guess i can say that i like it, but not at the point where i'm LOVING it...
this unit gives very very good information that
the MS6 cannot provide...

for example,
driving home from work, i take the 407 back,
even though i have to pay the toll,
but i save about 0.3L-0.8L of gas, 3km shortter distance per trip if
i take 407 instead of the hwy 7....and of coz less driving time

this unit displays 4 "gauges" in 1 screen of your choice..
i personally choose the
LKH - Fuel comsumption L/100km
MAP - Manifold Absolute pressure
LOD - Engine Loading
IGN - ingition timing

Since my car has the turbo, i can see how many PSI i'm boosting
by lookin' at the MAP
MAP = Atmosphere pressure + Boost Pressure...

for example, if MAP = 28psi, that means i'm boostin' at around 13.3 psi.

lastly, there is no perfect mods in this world....
the con on this unit is...
refresh rate is kinda slow.... even though i can adjust the refresh
rate from slow-normal-fast, at "fast" setting the rate is still approx. 1sec.
eventhough the unit looks small, but i feel it's still big, could be smaller..
the unit's screen cannot be display at an angle, so ppl who ride
in your car cannot see what's goin' on when they are nosy....

as for instalation...
the unit is very to be installed, nothing rocket science....
only 1 harness that comes out of the unit, and you basically plug
it in to the OBDII (usually found under the dash)
i've a few places where i can mount it, but i found
mountin' at the steerin' wheel column is the best place.
i've consider mountin' the unit in the map box (must keep lid open),
ashtray (near gear shift, nice and stealth, but not visualable while drivin'),
sunglasses holder (near map light, nice and stealth, but blocks rear view mirror)

Nevertheless, my biggest complaint!

i've contact Derek from Gadget Garage, ask him for advices on
how i should order so that i can avoid brokerage/tax. He told me
i must order through scangauge website, pay full price $169USD
and once he receive the order and will be ready for me to pick up.
and i did confirm w/ him if he had stock, he claimed he has a lot.
i order through the scangauge website, recieved my reciept in
my email the next day, and indicated that it's been shipped.
2 weeks later nothin' showed up and no updates,
i bother Derek almost every 2-3 days...
since i have his msn, all he said was no orders yet. then 1 day
he tells me maybe my order will come in w/ when his backorder arrives...
(remember he said he had lots of stock when i asked him initially).
i couldn't wait anymore, i called up CSR in scangauge, told them
i waited for 2 weeks, gave them my reciept number and told them
that i was authorized to make the pick up instead of recieving it in
my mail box. CSR once found out i'm in toronto and ask if i contact
the person named "DEREK". i told them yes, and they said
he has no authority to sell their product anymore as he has been
given too many false informations to customers. so i got really piss
after hearin' this....but didn't wanna rant it out on Derek, as
it will do me no good newayz. 2 days later, package is here,
i was charged $30 for duty/brokerage. Nevertheless, if i purchased
this unit from therpmstore.com's GB i would saved $30USD and more.
GB at therpmstore.com (http://www.toprotege.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30455). but since Derek from GG told me if i buy
it through him, no duty/brokerage for sure.....Damn Liar....

May i advice to all of you....do not buy the unit from DEREK @ GADGET GARAGE, purchase the unit
from therpmstore.com instead....i currently order a MP3 USB unit for my MS6 thru them

Actually, i did read your post, that was why i requested to
pick up the unit instead of waitin' for it in the mail...
anyhow, it past now....
