Haven't done the other side yet, but my first attempt looks promising.
IMO I need another LED in the top, as you can see it dims a bit as it travels round the rod.

I've seen someone's P5 angel eyes look pretty good, I believe they made it themselves from home depot stuff, it was a full circle around the 2 p5 housing. But I don't think it look that good on our cars...
Try a red LED? it may look scary at night :p

Angel lids would be the right term. props for trying to make something unique. If they went all the way around, I'd ask you to cop a set for me.

I tried that, but the design of the lights mean't it was flat at the top and bottom. Just didn't look right.....
Hopefully I'll be doing the other side this weekend, kinda hoping it'll look better in the pix with both sides done. :D
I'll probably be doing some sort of "how to" on this....eventually!! ;)

i think you should keep them like that. looks very nice and original. plus if you make actual angel eyes, people will think you were too cheap to buy a bimmer and decided to be a wannabe.
by the way, do sedans have different headlights? i think i see 2 bulbs in P5 headlights, and sedans have only 1. is that so?

If this was an easy mod... I'd put the row of LED flat at the base of the housing... so the headlights look like - - from a distance :p think the new S6 with the lambo engine.

No not always on.
They replace the side lights, which was a small 5w bulb.
I dunno what you guys have, daytime running lights or such-like?
You could wire them to them to be on all the time. :)

so the p5 has better headlight design, eh? what about mp3 / msp do they have a dual filament bulbs or do they use separate ones?

Who said the P5 headlight housing is better? IMO, each has their own advantage and disadvantage... I'd prefer the sedan housing cause the cut-off a sharp for HIDs... I'd prefer the P5 housing cause it looks better...

what exactly do you mean about the cut-off in the sedan headlights being better for the hid's? are you saying that its easier to install them?
i think that p5 is better for hids cause you can have normal lights as your daytimes, and hids for actual driving. (or get dual hids :D)

Im talking about the light output cut off... When Im behind another car at night, my sedan headlight's cut off is so sharp I can put the line of light on the bumper of the car in front. P5's housing makes the light output scattered and harder to adjust cause the light output looks like " O O " which is going to be blinding to on coming traffic...
What do you mean use normal lights as daytime lights? You do know that center light on the P5 housing is only high beams and you'll have to rewire it in order to use it as DRL? Im guessing you'll have to change the center light to H4s too or you'll just be using high beams during the day as DRL

Cut offs mean that when you install an aftermarket HID lamp the headlight doesn't have as much glare as a P5 headlight (says people) meaning if you parked infront of a wall and turned your lights on there would be a fine line up till where the light hit, so you don't blind the people infront of you/ coming towards you.
The P5 has seperate housings for the HI's and Lo's, so i'm not sure what you mean by nomal light as day times. If you run halogen lamps in the lo beam and HID in hi, it would mean you'd be the guy who drives with their HI's on all the time.
However with a P5 you could run your HIDs on the LO beam and lower the wattage to the high beam as a DRL. I think ricecooker was looking into this...
The only definite place the P5 houseing wins is that, you have the option to buy LO Hids and run regular halogen with HI's... whereas in a sedan you have to buy somekind of HI/LO lamp (HID Lo/ Halogen HI, Telescoping HID, or Dual HID) which costs more for any of them, and is a hassel if the halogen filament blows.

thats what i ment, but didnt explain
i was confusing the way P5's headlights work with the way the headlights work on a maxima that i drive right now.

here's a quick and possibly a stupid question...but can you order p5 headlights and install them into your sedans?
and those lights are looking good. im still hoping for that "how-to", maybe when i get the chance to try it out i can try out different techniques.

I think they might be slightly different in shape, which is why P5 grills don't fit sedans... but i could be wrong... someone correct me if i am..
You'd also have to chance the headlight harness, which from what everyone on this board says, is not designed properly.

The headlights are interchangeable (sp?) b/w P5's and sedans. The grill is different because the bumpers are different

hey man, the angel eyes look grimey dude! I always wondered about the "( )( )" shape of the bezel and how to get around, it but they look amazing, totally inovative style- and as for a second led? i kinda like the fading away thing they got going, better on the top then in the centre of the bend
