OK, I need to straighten this out. I have 14" winter tires left over from my Dodge. I am hearing a couple different ideas as to if 14" wheels clear the brakes on the P5 or not.

Who has 14" wheels on their P5, and where did you get them from? Used or new? Are they off of a specific car?

Please help, my winter tires are still brand new Gislavids, and when I had them on my Dodge they were awsome, and I don't want to have to buy another set.

Thanks

14x5.5" steelies. Ordered through Wheel & Tire Zone. $50 each.
I'm pretty sure they were custom made as they are hub centric and correct offset.

I have 14's on mine too, believe they're Camry wheels, calipers are tight but they fit, what size are the tires?

guys,

the P5 does not have any caliper issues. and a standard 5x114.3 bolt pattern steel wheel will fit. if you had a 14" then your good to run ! your dodge what make is it. i can tell u if it will fit or not.

rowan,

with steel wheels, the offsets are really high. since the backplate is rite there. ! even tho its a 5.5" from the centre its like a +50 or maybe even higher. steel wheels will always have high offsets, and will fit cars.. heres a question for you . have you ever heard of a low offset steel wheel? besides truck wheels. BMW's 5 series dont have any steels. for winter packages they run alloy wheels. with the lower offsets. and if you do find lo offset wheels, they are kinda rare.

when you find steel wheels, you dont worry aobut offset, but rather the drop face. if the inner bevel face will run with the outter clamp calipers. thats the prob we were facing with VW beetles, matix and most of the audi's this past winter! test fit test fit test fit. 2 magical words.

cheers, ben
