Hey, according to the calendar, I'm the third oldest on this board. Kewl...I guess.
Just wanted to see what age we span. I'm surprised at how young some of us are, as well as some are probably surprised that guys their parents' age are interested in the same thing.
So make your choice and let's talk about it.
(Hope I set this up ok...)

Crap! My own poll won't even let me vote - says I already voted but you'll see 0 under 35-39. I fall into the that range - however - come November, it will be the next category -arghh...
I'm also impressed with the wide age range. I recall reading in past posts that only "old guys" were driving P5s. I do recall seeing a few "older people" driving them - I suppose they won't be on this board or replacing any new parts. But then, 10 months ago when mine was driven off the lot, did I know I'd be here today with all these little doodads?....no!
Thanks for taking part in my poll. So far ~ 30 people have responded.

Feel 67...look 24...act 12...actually 27. What's in a number? It's cool that all of us share a common interest regardless of our age differences and gender. And cars definitely aren't our only simularities I'm sure. So what's in a number? Not a damn thing I say.(unless that girl you like is 15! http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif )

I'm 27 also. Wow, I didn't know we had so many TEENAGERS in the group. But that's cool though, it's nice to see such a wide range....
not to offend, but I like the fact that there are lots of 20-somethings. I have a friend in the Porsche Club, and the average age is in the high-40s. I'm not sure I could hang out every week with 40 year olds(no offence, I just don't relate well to the older generation).....

Age is such a funny thing, and yet can mean nothing.
When I was in my teens and twenties, I didn't like chumming around with guys my own age, as I found most of them overly immature, arrogant, obnoxious, high strung, superficial, disrespectful, they thought they were God's gift to women and yet had little substance to offer (not intended to offend anyone!http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif I've always had older friends, still do, find most of them more interesting due to their life's experiences.
A few years ago, I worked with a 21 yr old fellow who was quite different for his age. Although he was an up-to-date techie into computer games and cartoon rendering, he had a very mature personality for 21. In fact, he also didn't like being around others his age, just like me when I was younger. Even his girlfriend was older (but no old lady!http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif. We still keep in touch.
When I get together with my 67 yr old mother, the two of us kid around like two pre-teens. And when I'm working on the car, I feel like a kid again. My friends and family think I've totally lost it, as I'm always talking about the car and putting new things on it.
So IMHO, age is not so much a factor as likes, dislikes, and comfort levels.

I'm 35, but as my wife tells me many times, I have the mind of an 18 year old. Life's too short to act your age.
