well guys....... i have started again on it.....
having an extra set of OEM covers make it easier.
but this is what is going on.
I have taken it all apart. all the thread and stitching. Now i ahve made the templates and now am shopping for material..... dunno what to get.
as for help i used this site :

and yea some other guy is doing it to on another board.
So i will take some pics as it goes along... and maybe when i am done i will just sell my old covers for someone else to start.

haha we will see how far i can go with this. learnt how to sew the other day from my bro's wife. wow doesnt seem too hard. so far i have only cut the patterns in tissue and one whole seat in material.

Finished one seat and what can i say. fits fine. had to redo it twice..... once with the black fabric (sides) off and only the sumbrella vinyl fabric. that didnt work too well so restitched it on the original and the centers were stitched on with it too. mmmmmmmm....... looks so good.
will get pics when i am all done.

Did you know that Mazda Brampton, and I assume others as well, offers the leather seats as a dealer sold, aftermarket upgrade.

The sales guy said he isn't sure if they remove the old fabric, or just slip the leather over the seats. They are usually two tone, to match the exterior colour. Look very nice, and perferated leather down the middle.
