O.K. so despite being advised against, I removed my resonator.
due to some technical difficulties it was a real pain in the ass.
The Sound, I'm not so sure if I like it yet, but its not overly loud.
As far as power, Nothing really, but then I didn't expect anything.
Sound, like I said I'm not too sure if I like it yet, but I might just save up for a muffler or something to better complement the new loudness of it. I had something else to say about this, (really) but I just forgot it so thats about all for now.
Stay tuned for me modding my stock air box for hopefuly some increased air flow, which hopefully equals a few more horse power
if not at peak then hopefully at some lower rpm. If not then I don't care (lie) I just like working on my car, and thkis time I don't have the money, but its pretty much free.
god I'm drunk

Modding your stock air box will always gain you more at peak and will most likely make you lose a bit under 3300 RPM. Good luck with your ghetto budget mods! http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Thanks, I need all the luck I can get man. I was gonna do it yesterday, but I was too busy with my exhaust. Monday I went all around the Niagara Region looking for a box so that if it didn't work out I still had my old box to put back in but no luck.I did see a 97 pro like mine but it was rather disturbing, There was nothing from the firewall forward, and the the rest of it was shaped like a V.

Now your talkin! Did you try it on the highway yet? I find that it does resonate at the RPMs that I usually cruise at but its not bad enough to complain. Did you notice the little rumble I talked about? Do you have a stock muffler right now?

Yeah still the stock muffler, hopefully when I get a bit of $$ I'll pick up a muffler. I haven't had it on the highway yet. Just around town its really not that bad. It is a little loud when I start out in first gear, but when I'm just cruising down the road in traffic in 4th or fifth as the case may be, its not too noticeably louder than stock. Infact, between certain rpms lets just say for example 3-5000rpm depending on wether or not I've got my foot to the floor, It barely sounds different than stock, but below and above its louder. Weird really.

Hey if your good at cutting and clamping you should try some of Canadian tires cheep performance exhausts. With my VW I used to go buy one, slide it onto the end of my tailpipe and duct tape it there to see how it sounded. As long as you dont mark it you can bring it back and try another one. You must have seen those cherry bombs hanging on the walls. Theyve got the red ones that you can drop a golf ball right through or theyve got the oval "cherry bomb turbo" mufflers wich are a bit quieter. I like the red ones.
Anyways theyre a super cheep way to get a cool sound that nobody else will have for sure cause nobody puts those things on imports for some reason. They only cost like $30 and you can dress em up with a $5 tip. This might all sound pretty ghetto but if you hang it nice so only the end of the tip is sticking out It'll be sweet. http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

In Scotland they call that a "pig in knickers". http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif You might want to decide on what you want, such as sound or better flow, 'cause they don't always come together. Resonators often do little more than tune the sound of the exhaust, but can cause a back-pressure issue which flutters the valves at high rpm. Another disturbing trend is the reverse of that which causes cavitation on the valve seats becuase the resonator causes nastier sucking than a $5 crackwh*re. <- technical term.
