if you read the thread in the link I posted, a guy explained that when bees leave their hive and swarm, they look for warm places to hide, like the Top Mount Intercooler in that subaru

hehehehe.. U of Waterloo had a similar problem in their campus vans.. and squirrels... lol.. there was one van that wasn't used much there, and then someone tried to start it, and found the engine compartment FULL of pinecones, and a family of baby squirrels and momma and poppa defending their fort.. lol.. it was in the school paper..
