PAS Mag Photoshoot

As some of you may have heard, we are trying to get TOProtege featured in PASMag. One thing we would like to do before making our submission is have a HUGE photoshoot where we get as many members out as possible and get some good group photos showing all of the cars, and how huge the club has become.

We would love to have as many of you out to this meet as possible. Even if you just come for the photoshoot, but I would encourage you to stay for dinner afterwards since you're already out.

When: Sunday November 5th
Time: Starting at 4pm so that we can get some day, dusk, and night photos
Where: Fairview Mall (see the post below this one for more info)

*** Even if your car is already in Winter mode...don't worry. In the large group shots, it will be hard to notice whether the car has already bee winterized

*** This is an opportunity to have your car shows in PASMag or on their website....don't be shy....even if you've never been to a meet before, sign up and come

Okay guys...

We will be holding the Photo-shoot at Fairview Mall on the TOP Level of the TTC Parking area. The parking lot is at the South / West corner of the mall.

Fairview is located at the North / East corner of Don Mills and Sheppard. See below for a map and the exact address of the mall incase you want to look up directions for yourself.

DUE TO THE CLOCKS GOING BACK AN HOUR LAST WEEKEND, WE'RE GOING TO MOVE THE TIME UP TO 4pm. That will give us enough time to get setup for some daylight shots, as well as dusk, and night

If Anyone wants to grab a bite to eat after, we can head down to Caseys in the Mall for dinner.

BTW - The Docks wanted $150 / hr to use their parking lot, hence why we're not going there (figured some of you might want to know)

Last car club I was with they had PAS come out and do a photoshoot of the club. They also focused on two cars from the club. They told us it would be in the next issue and they would send the club organizer enough magazines to go around.

They NEVER published the club in thier magazine.

That's fine and all...but that was a different club. And even if that does end up happening...so what? At least we'll have some great pictures of the club that we can update the website with, and it'll be a fun meet for everyone.

I don't really understand the point of your post. But there's no need to delete it.

Like I said, we are TRYING to get the club featured. I believe that it WILL be featured, but I obviously can't say that for sure. Either way, does it really matter what happened with the other club you were part of? Maybe there were reasons for what happened.

EDIT - I forgot to mention that Eric (Spyder01) is the one that will be taking the photos. We will be submitting these photos with our club write-up to PAS Mag.

This idea had been in my head for awhile...

Last year someone had posted some pictures of a car club that had a photo shoot in a hockey arena.

I think that would be a good idea BUT don't think there would be enough room on the ice for all the cars and it would be a headache arranging all the cars. This would be a great idea for a smaller photo shoot.

Since this is the "Toronto" Protege club it would be a good idea to have the photo shoot somewhere that symbolizes Toronto. Maybe a place that has a Toronto landmark in the photo.

yeah talking about the 323. but this is kind of a differnet purpose than anything we've done before since it's supposed to be for PAS. maybe it's supposed to be all protege. *shrug* normally for meets, cruises, etc. it won't matter.

That's what I was going to say. There parking lot would be big enough and I'm sure you can get on the roof of the docks without a problem if you ask.

I've recently changed my job to Truck Driver. I do alot of runs in Downtown T.O. so I'll keep my eyes open for a perfect location. I think by the beaches would make a good spot too.

I think the best thing to do is to have this photo shot in the spring next year. Alot of us already have our winter steelies out and it's really hard to keep a car clean in this awkward weather. If we take photos now, it will show how BIG our club is but not how well modified some of our club cars are. Believe me, I've wanted to be on the PAS club profile as much as the next person, but I want to be able to do it when everbody is better prepared. Is it even a possibility to do it next spring?? sorry man...not an option. Who even knows if they'll still be doing the club profiles in teh spring. Chances are they will...but it's not a for sure. And there will be plenty of other clubs that want to be profiled in the spring too. This is meet is just to get a few more photos to submit. We have plenty of other stuff from throughout the years that we will be submitting as well.

Okay guys...

We will be holding the Photo-shoot at Fairview Mall on the TOP Level of the TTC Parking area. The parking lot is at the South / West corner of the mall.

Fairview is located at the North / East corner of Don Mills and Sheppard. See below for a map and the exact address of the mall incase you want to look up directions for yourself.

DUE TO THE CLOCKS GOING BACK AN HOUR LAST WEEKEND, WE'RE GOING TO MOVE THE TIME UP TO 4pm. That will give us enough time to get setup for some daylight shots, as well as dusk, and night

If Anyone wants to grab a bite to eat after, we can head down to Caseys in the Mall for dinner.

BTW - The Docks wanted $150 / hr to use their parking lot, hence why we're not going there (figured some of you might want to know)

I was out mountain biking and my bike broke on the trail.
After a long walk to the Subway and the TTC home, I got on the highway to head to the meet at 4:15.

Oh, and make sure the photos are submitted in high qualiyt 300 dpi. Preferrably in original and not compressed.

ok....everything has finally been submitted to Pas Mag. Hopefully we'll see the club in print sometime soon. Lots of clubs have submitted though, so it might take a little while before we see our profile in there.
