Well after spending so much time trying to fix my old 92 pro and finding things to just get worse and worse. I finally found some light to guide me somewhere else. It came in the form of a 1990 protege gt for only 800 bucks. So your think this thing must have no body left and 300,000 plus kms. Well that wasn't the case with this one. The diamond in the rough only has 140,xxx kms. which is rare i guess cause i've never seen it.

Ok so its not perfect, but damn is it in pretty good shape for its year and for living on the salt roads on ontario winters. The only major rust well almost only rust in on the damn rear quaters (bummer part is there aren't any after market patch panels for these). Only thing u can get is factory quarters which run around 500 bucks a peice. I'm not at that point........yet!. the bodys got a few good dings here and there and some crappy backyard body shop repairs, but i'm a pro so they will be fixed in time. The right front had some serious feder bender damage that was never fixed so i found a mint mx3 donor at the junkyard. that and some brake work and i should have this on the road full time for winter hopefully by the end of the month. wish me luck
i'll try to update this asmuch as possible

if the rad support is aftermarket i suggest reinforcing the bottom section for strength. i had mine rip itself in half twice. i ended up replacing the bottom section with a mazda piece ( the metal is much stronger) i havent had a problem since. i had a bodyshop so i do know what im talking about. just sending over some advice. looking good so far
