Let me reiterate how much I LOVE my Hakkapellitta 1's!
I now wish the P5 came in a 4WD model to truely see how well this car can handle...

With Hakkas, you shouldn't need it to be plowed http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Love my P5 in the snow with my ghetto SIGNET/HERCULES tires.
Yes, I agree! The next few model makeovers should at least have some heated mirrors as option and some part-time traction control too.
If the ugly Whale on Roller Skates Suzuki Aerio can offer 4wd/awd why can't MAZDA/FORD?

Its still warmer than Lindsay was the last many weeks, but I hate it when people drive half the speed limit. I'm not saying that I don' drive fairly slow sometimes when the weather is crappy, but when I WANT to drive fast in crappy weather, I hate people who drive slow.

Or the tools in SUV's that drive way too fast in the snow (usually seen in ditch ...on roof) but slow down to half the speed limit when its just a bit wet out?

I just tried going to work. Just as I'm about to turn in the driveway, I realize it's been replaced with 3 foot high snow drifts. So I said fuck it I'm gonna see how far I can wedge this thing. lol
I didn't get it stuck very bad, I dug out my one tire with my snowbrush, the other one was pretty clear. Nice thing was that three different vehicles pulled over to give a hand almost immediately. Got one push to get it out, said thank you for your help, and went on my merry non-working way.
Basically how I see it is unless there's enough snow to get my car hovering off its wheels, these tires will go through just about anything. well worth the 120 a piece i paid for them.

There was a thin layer of ice under the ~20 cm of snow this morning in some areas of KW. We had some sleet/freezing rain yesterday afternoon that sealed my doors shut pretty darn good.
This is my second winter with the Michelin Pilot Alpins and I gotta say, they are overrated, expensive designer tires. They're fine in the dry but that's not what a snow tire should be good at. I was slip, slidin' away today big time. I had that back end swinging around several times, even in areas where there was only like an inch of snow on the road and no ice in those areas.
Blizzaks and Yokohama 600s were far better on my previous vehicles. I should have saved money and not cared about an H rated performance tire for winter.
Glad everyone else is happy with their tires, none of which are Michelin, right?
