4th Annual Rookie Meet - June 24

Dear members,

It's that time of year again, the 4th Annual Rookie Meet is going to take place as part of a welcoming of the new members to the club. This is a great way for new members, that are a bit shy and not comfortable yet, to make an appearance and mingle with other new members, as well as long standing members and the officers.

The rookie meet consists of a meet in greet in the northwest parking lot of the Yorkdale Shopping Centre (located at Highway 401 & Dufferin). Once everyone has had a chance to meet the new guys, we move over to Shoeless Joe's (1 Block south of Yorkdale on Dufferin at Orfus Rd.) for dinner and more conversation. Dinner is at about 8pm.

This is a great way to meet everyone and get to know your fellow TOprotege chums. We will have TOprotege stickers on hand for distribution, and membership cards, for those that wish to make a donation.

This event is open to any and all members of TOprotege and we encourage your participation to help make the rookie feel more welcome and let them know that our club is not just about the forum. Once you meet our members, you'll learn that we truly are a friendly bunch.

If you plan on attending the meet, please post up that you'll be coming so that I can make the reservation at Shoeless Joe's, accordingly.

NOTE: The razing of new members is completely frowned upon and will NOT be tolerated. Any type of defacing of members vehicles will not be taken lightly, and if anyone is caught in this act, you will be removed from future events. This is meant to be a fun and welcoming day, let's try to act like adults and have fun!

Thread cleaned up, it was getting crazy with the multiple lists.... There were people quoting lists and it started getting way to confusing.. all the lists and irrelevant posts removed.

There will be TOP protege stickers for sale at this meet, there are varioud colours and sizes. All moneys collected go straight to support the forum (ie; bandwidth, hosting and such) Sticker prices are as follows:

Large (pair) $5
Medium (pair) $3
Small (pair) $1

I will also have Membership cards with me for that that want to sign up and become donating members to take advantge of the great deals at the various sponsors and support your community. (Minimum donation is $10)

it's not all you can eat. It's Shoeless Joe's, so there's a regular menu to choose from.

Take 401 (from Burlington, you would be going East). Exit at Dufferin St and go South. Follow the signs to Yorkdale Mall. You'll see the mall from the highway and will see the cars in the lot from Dufferin.

You honestly can't miss it (even if you tried). But if you're worried, look it up on Mapquest and print it out.
