OK, so this is just a GI right now but now that i have my house and i am almost down fixing up the problems I am looking at what to do with my space. As some might know i am a Aerospace Machinist with back ground as a general machinist.

So what i am looking at doing is setting up a little shop in my space (garage) to do custom part's for people. But before i go out and put a couple grand down for some machines i want to know if there would be enough work for me to be able to pay for them in a couple years. Now some people might know that the major cost for me to do all this will be the material, so i figure if i can get the cost of material and than depending on the part a couple buck for me that would be great.

So if you think you would ever need something tell me (i might be able to do the job at my current shop) and if i see alot of things coming in i might start up my own shop.

Thanks
Byron

I'm sure there would be lots of interest for some battery tie downs, specifically for the Optima batteries.

ditto. Especially if you can get one made before anyone else does.

OK, here is the thing with those tie downs first, I know people would want to "engrave) them so that to do that you would need a CNC and i don't think my work would like me using my million dollar Machine to do some tie downs.

and tekkie since i get a feeling you are going all out on your car i think it might be better to go with something like this >> http://www.moroso.com/catalog/categorydisplay.asp?catcode=42001 << put it in your trunk for better corner weight setting.

You should take some general machining jobs to pay for the machines. Try to line up some part work. Shop yourself arround and quote on some jobs.
