OPEN POSITION - Sponsorship Officer

With Brian (thekid)'s switch to Vice President, that leaves us with an opening in the Sponsorship Officer position.

This position is very important to our club as the Sponsorship Officer works with our current sponsors as well as potential sponsors bringing in new and exciting promotions and discounts for our club. The Rep will also work with the other officers in organizing large club events and in club decision making.

This thread will be used for Nominations of who you think would do a good job filling the Sponsorship Officer Position. Feel free to make self nominations, or nominate anyone that you feel would do a good job. We would prefer that the successful candidates be local to the GTA as it would be easier to work with the sponsors, but it is not an absolute requirement (you just have to be willing to give it 100% and make road trips, etc. when necessary).

If anyone has any questions for any nominees, feel free to post them here, and nominees, please feel free to answer them. Also, if someone nominates you, please reply to say if you accept the nomination, or if you decline it. Remember that this can be a time consuming role, so do not accept it if you don't think you have the time to commit to it.

Any posts that are irrelevant will be deleted without notice. Please let's keep things on track.

We will keep this thread open for a minimum of 2 weeks. At which point, the officers will vote in the new Sponsorship Officer

This is definitely a very important part of this club and the person to fill this role is gonna be our main point of contact with all of our current sponsors and the new ones that sign up.

The job requires responsibility and dedication, and must be handled by a well organized individual.

Taking all this into consideration I would like to nominate Steve (Aitch) into the role of Sponsorship Officer.

I'd like to thank you guys for nominating me to this position...... I appreciate your confidence in me for this job. As you all may have seen, I have also been nominated for the Eastside rep position, which I am also interested in. After talking with Scooter, I've decided to let my name stand for both positions, and leave it up to the club officers to decide who they see fit for both jobs. I know there are many qualified individuals for both jobs, and I know the officers will pick the right person for each position.

Again, I really appreciate both nominations. Today or tomorrow I will post a little about my ideas for the positions in the respective threads.
