2006 TOP Calendar

Alright, well I need something to put on my wall at work and the TD Canada Trust calendar, just isn't cutting it anymore.

I've decided to put together an Exlcusive TOprotege 2006 Calendar, for everyone to enjoy. As most (or some) of you may know, I'm a graphic designer and I pretty much design things like this to put togther for big companies and small businesses alike, I got all kinds of templates, and I have all the resources available to put this together.

I'm gonna be creating a collage type style of a Calendar and I need your BEST pics and Hi- Resolution, that's means no crappy small pics. I want this calendar to look really pro, as It's going on my wall in my office.

I've been colecting images for this project for the last little while, but I now need some newer bigger images. There is a certian layout I want to follow, so try to help me out with what I'm looking to do here...(see list below)

As you probably have noticed it's almost Christmas and the New Year, but I'm confident that I could pull this off in two weeks and still make it look fairly professional.I need images submitted ASAP. - Action shots, moving shots, still shots, close-ups, glamour pics.. bigger is better, since my finished size will be 8x10.5

*I realize that we have a limit of images that can be uploaded to the forum, so I would please ask everyone that is submitting HI RES photos to email then to me at pro5junior@gmail.com - please include a note stating your board name and your real name, so that you may get the appropriate credit in the calendar. If there is no name with the file, then I CANT use your image

**Since I would ultimately like to include as many members as possible, PLEASE only submit 1 or 2 images that you feel are REALLY creative that would come into good use. **Remember they have to be Hi Resolution, and PLEASE NO Cardomain images or any other images with Watermarks... I will not use any of those.

As far as getting a calendar, as soon as I have the calendars completed I will start a GB to produce the calendars. I will donate my time to this project and any money collected from these calendars will go to pay for their production and the extra will be donated to the forum! **Details will be outlined after the artwork has been completed.

Here's my game plan, so you sort of have an idea how this calendar will be setup

1. January - Winter Photos, not necesarily dirty, but snow themed
2. February - Anything goes
3. March - Anything goes
4. April - 1st/2nd Gens
5. May - MSP
6. June - Protege Sedan
7. July - Protege 5
8. August - Car Show Pics (month dedicated to show)
9. September - AutoX (month dedicated to motorsports)
10. October - Fall/Autum themed cars.
11. November - Anything goes
12. December - Winterized Cars, Back into the snowy season

I have exams on the 14th and 15th...but after that I am pretty free. I can be out with a few gen1/gen2 for some snow photos later this week and weekend as well if there is a need for any kind of photos

junior, i just burned a cd with 500MB of Hi Res photos including some 1st gen pics... don't really have any 2nd gen stuff as there are only maybe 3 or 4 guys in the club with second gens...

ideally, I will be laying the calendar out this weekend.. so I should have some sneek peek shots for monday morning, at that point i'll start getting quote for production....

As long as I could have pictures by Friday, I should be good to roll... *Keep in mind I'll try to put as many people as I can into the calendar, and hopefully not manye will be left out, but the spaces are limited,a dn I'll do my best to include as many people as I can ...

That sounds like a good idea.

Maybe have some space in the calander for all the sponsors with their addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc. It would be another convenient way to look up the info on our sponsors. I dont always have the info right at hand.

either that or maybe something on the back of the calendar...

having said that, i'd only do this if we can do it and keep a nice look to the calendar... really, while the sponsors do great things for our club, they should ideally be paying for advertising in the calendar and helpign to subsidize if for the members... to do this properly and solicit them for advertising especially right after they gave us stuff for the xmas party would be tough to do on such short notice...

i'd personally prefer a clean look calendar with out advertising, so if we must on the back cover or somethign..

I feel that the calendar is more of a 'showcase' of our cars as a club and NOT a promotional piece. Nonetheless, the ad issue is being discussed.

ok, let me clarify how people can buy one. It'll work just as any other GB and everyone that would like one will add their name and so on... For right now I'm looking at doing a run of 50 or so, not many more than that, since I don't know how many people would be buy two at a crack. The GB details will be started in a seperate thread, once the artwork is completed and I'm ready to start production.

This thread is only intended for submitting artwork/pictures to use. I'm thinking that I will start a GB thread, mid to late next week.

I think Junior's calender is MUCH better...not just the picture setup....the calender part of it also has a pro there...plus the setup for msprotege's calender is messed up cause theres 1 picture and then 3 small pics...its only when you look closely do you reazlise that they are all different cars but the same color...

i've been in contact witht the supplier regarding the printing... and dates have not been discussed yet. I did tell them that I would be ready to deliver them artwork by Monday. so I'm assuming turn aorund would be ASAP, with the holidays and all in between. Again I'll keep you guys posted.
