2005 Annual TOprotege Christmas Dinner

December 1, 2005. Over 35 members of the Toronto Protege Club got together for the annual Christmas dinner at Vinnie Zucchini buffet on Dufferin and Steeles. The club sponsors had all offered great donations for this event. Prizes ranging from Mazda pens to hundreds of dollars of gift certificates to intake systems.

Members gotten to get to know each other much better because of this event. Stealthily sneaking into the dining area to put down their secret santa gifts, one after another, each member participating in the secret santa gift exchange received their own surprises. After trying the great selections of food at each counter, members were ready for the sponsors prizes draw.

I also wanted to take this opportunity (again) to thank all of our Board Sponsors for the amazing prizes. I'm going to update Eric's post just to show the awesome prizes that many people missed out on. Let's put it this way,...there were about 35 of us there, and there were enough prizes for EVERYONE, plus a few extras so some people won more than one prize. Our sponsors really stepped up the plate (as always).

Also wanted to thank all of our members for a great year. The board has made a lot of progress this year and will continue to do so for years to come. None of this would be possible if it wasn't for our Donating Members. By starting up the Membership Cards this year, we have been able to get some new sponsors as well as secure things even more with our current ones. I am sure that anyone who was there last night would agree how great the prizes were. So big thanks to those of you who have donated for this year. To anyone who has not yet, please feel free to contact any of the officers to do,.....it all goes right back to the club.

Finally, I want to thank all of the officers for all of their hard work. There is a ton of work that goes on behind the scenes and it is often a thankless job. These guys donate their personal time and energy to make things happen for our members. Without them, there would be no meets, there would be no Big events, there would be no relationships with sponsors, etc. Great job guys,....I know you may not hear it often, but all of your hard work is always appreciate.
