As most of you know by now, we are in the process of transferring the board over from its currently outdated Ikonboard software to the more sophisticated VBulletin software. This will give you (the users) much more advanced features and will make everyone's daily use more enjoyable and user-friendly.
In the process of transferring, there is the possibility that there could be a few minor hiccups. They are one-time things that will be worked out shortly after the board transfer is complete. The officers will be testing the new board shortly, and will be here to help everyone out once the official transfer has been completed.
One such example of a "hiccup" that we are expecting is the high probability that passwords will be re-set during the transfer. As a precaution, we ask that:
<span style='font-size:17pt;line-height:100%'>ALL USERS PLEASE GO TO YOUR PROFILE AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A CURRENT EMAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR SETTINGS. PLEASE BE SURE TO MAKE THIS UPDATE NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 25TH. DO NOT PUT IT OFF, DO IT NOW. WE ARE GIVING ENOUGH TIME FOR THOSE USERS THAT DO NOT LOG IN REGULARLY, BUT IF YOU ARE LOGGED IN NOW, PLEASE DO IT NOW SO YOU DO NOT FORGET</span>
This email address will be used if passwords are re-set. If you have an old email address in there (that you do not access anymore), you will have no way of retrieving your new re-set password, and as a result, you will not be able to log in to your account and will need to re-register, losing all of your current settings.
How To Update Email address
1) At Top of screen click on --> "Your Control Panel"
2) On the right side, click on --> "Modify Account"
3) In the box beside "Your Email Address", make sure the address there is current
4) If the address showing is one that you use, then you are fine and don't have to do anything.
5) If that address is not current or there is no address there at all, enter an up to date email address that you use, and Click "Change My Email Address"
6) A Confirmation email will be sent to that address. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE EMAIL TO COMPLETE THE UPDATE. IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THIS LAST STEP, IT WILL NOT COMPLETE THE UPDATE, AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SETTINGS
