I am so excited and thrilled at my first major modification to my new P5, a Vibrant Exhaust. Finally the vehicle feels like it breaths properly to some degree.

Although my future modifications will be a slave to my monthly budget on this first ever brand new car, I feel satisfied with my purchase.

A couple of weeks ago, Performance Improvements(Brampton) had a car show and product expo with Reps. on hand. I was impressed and educated by the Vibrant company rep. who told me about his company's prod. line, and that made me purchase one.

I did not pick up the the top of the line stainless steel series muffler, but the more conservative and cheaper black european style oval, with a smooth mellow tone, not the typical civic tin can "brrraaaaaaahhhhhhhp". This one emminates a pleasant yet moderate deep tone in the upper RPM shifting range of 3000+ and aids in my 'conscious 5spd optimum shifts'.

I am assuming that most of the drivers on this board have 5spd like they ought too, and that an aftermarket muffler is one of the 1st items on the mod. checklist.

I also wanted to know, who was the dude with the blue P5 show car done-up by RACTIVE intake system with the "toprotege.com" sticker. Anyone in specific on this board?

congrats on your new muffler...did you try driving on the highway just to check if its not to loud especially on the upper rpms "3500-6000" range??....

Oh yeah!
I hopped on the 410 last night and as I had thought there was a noticable medium low drone at 3500 rpm at 120km/hr but it wasn't over bearing. I usually cruised at 110-115km/hr before the modification and going back to that speed is a few decibles less of a drone now.

For everyday in and around town I like the sound and if there is gonna be a little more sound than usual, it is in the upper Rpms where I like it.

My old 89' Honda Accord had a cheap turbo thrust muffler from Cdn.Tire as I only wanted sound. And I did get an airy dry sounding drone even at the lowest rpm and gear ranges. I got pulled over alot by cops who sympathized with my rust bucket and excuse of that I was driving the car into the ground after 380,000 km on the engine.
