What's the scoop on these chips for the P5?

Is it a bunch of BS? Or are they more for US cars that have a regulator? Does the CDN model have a regulator? Seems a little too good to be true.

If you check the guy's feedback, you'll see that it's really an inexpensive resistor, not a chip. And several have indicated it's a rip off.
I bought one of the parking brake covers for $30 not long ago from ebay. The guy made it sound like he was giving me some fantastic deal. Turns out to be one of those cheap plastic "Made in China" flea market specials worth $5 max. Lots of crap out there - learned my lesson.
If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
