I've been feeling to go to THE OLD SPAGHETTI FACTORY lately. I've never been, but a long time ago I heard their food was go. Is that true?

Is the Organ grinder still around? Just out of curiousity...I have no hopes of going there or anything. (I loved that place when I was a kid, and I can't even remember what was so great about it).

Where is Lindsay in respect to Toronto? How far of a drive is it?

East side Mario's is the best http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif Free bread and salad. I love that place.

Hey Badda Bing Badda Boom! I've always wanted to eat there too!

There are so many places I want to try.. but never get around to it...

Maybe we should hold our own TPC restaurant review... it would give us excuses to eat at many restaurants! (Only the ones with the green signs in the windows though)

Where did all these replies come from??
O.k. Lindsay is about an hour or so, depending on how fast you drive, Northeast of Tronna. You can take hiway 7 which goes right through it, or 401 to 35/115 to get here. There is an Eastside Marios here. However, I wasn't really expecting anyone to drive all the way the hell up here for it, I was planning on visiting Toronto for it. I was hoping anyone that expressed interest in it before the board went down, Mike Moss, Pasta323, Demon etc., to suggest some places in the GTA or Hamilton area to go to.

I guess it ends up being a group decision... doesn't really matter to me. Can't promise I'll make it if it's in Lindsay, or Toronto. But I do have the interest to go....

Nick, you're a chef? A home chef, or a professional chef? What kinds of dishes are your specialties?

Sorry your heart is broken Car Demon... it'll mend in time. They say the body heals twice as fast when sleeping..... eat lots, get really full, you'll feel super tired, and then sleep lots. Maybe that will help out...

=). Just a thought...

Sorry to stray from the topic of food a bit.

Aye, true dat I'd have a Lindsay meet, but there's nothing to do here, really. Unless maybe it was on a weekend and those who came wanted to maybe take a cruise up to Bobcaygeon around the lake to Fenelon Falls and back down to Lindsay. Its a nice drive, only a couple hours if even that, I did that today and it wasn't bad really, the weather was good. Maybe we could do that and end it with food at Eastsides and then a quick beer or two at the Winchester.
Aye, free bread and salad is good too.
Thos of you that are interested, figure something out. It makes no diff wether I gotta go down there or you all come up here. Name a few dates and ideas and we'll all vote on it.

All this talk about food is getting me hungry for Spaghetti!

I found out that the Old Spaghetti Factory is still around, their menu looks good, and they also have free soup or salad, free bread with garlic butter, free tea or coffee, and free spumoni icecream (what's spumoni?), included with all dinner entrees.  http://www.oldspaghettifactory.ca

Not trying to eliminate East Side Mario's, I'm down for going there... right now I'm craving Old Spaghetti Factory.   http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Oh... and the love of hot bread, with butter that melts right into it.  Sigh.... I could always go buy a french stick from dominion, and slice it and microwave it and melt butter on it, but it really won't be the same... (I just might do it though!!http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I'll make this quick since i'm on my way to class in a couple...

Spaghetti Factory is quite close to the Hummingbird Center, (Front/Church type area) and I was just there a couple months ago.... pretty good stuff, but not sure if it's an all you can eat thing. And spumoni is kinda green with bits of fruity stuff shoved in... I hate it, but know some people who love it off.

For all you can eat, I like Frankie Tomattos (Woodbine n of Steeles. Not entirely cheap, but some za, some pasta, salad, and various other types of Italian foods.

East Side is always a happy place for me as well.

But again, I'm not sure if i'm there or not...

Otter you're right. I wasn't thinking beyond my craving. Old Spaghetti Factory does not (at least not listed on their menu) have all you can eat.

However Frankies Tomatoes does... and I like it there too. It's pretty cool, and not too far at all.. just North of Steeles on Woodbine, I believe. You can't miss it, they have the leaning tower of Pisa or something outside. =). On the east side. If you go late, like after 10pm or something, the buffet is cheaper, I believe.

Hopefully we'll figure something out soon... for the sake of Car Demon.

Even though I can't devastate the buffets like I used to be able to, I'm all for all you can eat.
