What up ya'll, just wonderin where I can order the folia tec paint package for calipers. I ordered from part source and paid then 2 weeks later they told me it can't come across the border(because it's a chemical). If anyone knows of a place in Ontario let me know, thanks

LOL why would you order this stuff from the States? How much can you possibly save?
For $48 you can pick up Foliatec brake caliper paint at Performance Improvements or heck even at Tint King....

I usually order from the US because I can go pick it up there, I just ship to a buddy with a Michigan address. I live 2mins from the tunnel. The only problem is trying to get it back across without hassle, I usually lie. Anyway they charge 50US over there, while part source here in windsor only charged me 51 can. Way cheaper obviously with the exchange. I just need to find a place where I can still get it for around 50 can and see if their warehouse will ship across the border. Thanks for suggestions, Later

That's my point, I want to get it in canada because it's way cheaper, That's why I want to find it here. I'm just saying if I have to go to the states I will. Obviously I don't want to pay more.

Dude.... you absolutely make no sense to me and many otehrs I bet. If you say ou can get it in Windsor for 51$ CDN then why would you even look at anything in the states that costs much more ? Think about this for a while.

Why does everyone waste their money on that crap? Regular Tremclad paint works great. When i changed back to stock wheels, i cleaned the calipers off and it looked like i just painted the damn things. It only cost like $8 too. I'd like to hear the excuses now as to why its better to use the Foliatec paint now.

I bought Foliatec paint and then returned it after I saw the results peeps were having with the VHT caliper paint. I'm pretty vain - but I don't find pleasure in senselessly wasting money.

Well, look at it this way. At the poker run meet, I was parked at a dealer lot beside another P5 that had their calipers painted with regular paint (tremclad?). One of the salesmen came over to us and said "who's car is it with the red calipers" then both of us spoke up, and he clarified: "No, the one with the bright red calipers".
There is a difference. Not saying it's worth the extra price, that's up to you, but don't let anyone say there's no difference.

Go to Building Box and by the DUPLICOLOUR HIGH HEAT ENGINE ENAMAL or the Motormaster shit from Crappy tire. I used the Duplicolour and it is VERY bright and doesnt fade...
$8 a can...WELFARE WUT!

I think the only difference is the amount of coats you put in your calipers. I used VHT 8$ looks great, im going to down grade to 5 dollar crappy tire high heat paint and it will look just the same. With the extra money i saved i can pay someone to say my calipers look better than someone who used folitec.
Waste of money if you ask me. Clean them first paint them, you will hve no problems. and it will be just as 'bright'

DO NOT USE THE CANADIAN TIRE MOTORMASTER HIGH HEAT ENGINE PAINT!!!
I once did and my red calipers turned General Lee orange then a strange sort of pinkish brown.
Use the VHT Caliper paint (bright and red) or the Tremclad (deeper and darker colour).

What is the point of that story?

All I'm trying to say here is that if I can't find it here, then I will pay more in the states to get it. I don't want to pay more but if I have to I will, that's why I'm trying to find a cheap place in this area. I don't want any other paint, vht and engine paint are fine, but my choice is folia tec. Friends have used it and the results were good.

Tremclad is the best stuff around, from my experiences. The reason I say this is because I have used it on a few different cars and it has always looked great. I used yellow on my last car and they still looke great after years. This paint just won't fade. I think the difference between your red and bright red were the choice of colours of paint not the paint. If you look back with a search you should be able to find some opinions that may sway you from folia tech based on price.

The point? There is a difference. Many people prefer the FoliaTec look of the calipers (from personal experience, I can't tell you how many people have commented on my calipers and have bought the FoliaTec kit after seeing my calipers). No matter how many coats you use of "tremclad" it won't get the same look. Tremclad looks good, but the FoliaTec kit adds a shell to it, kinda like the shell on M&M candies... dunno if the calipers will melt in my mouth tho, still have yet to try that.
