This guy is $1195 US, the hood w/o the Ram Air its $695. Is the extra dollars worth it? I'm getting one of these two, just need your opinion. How does it compare price wise to other brands?
http://www.dgmotorsports.com/asp/graphics/protoge_side.jpg
$395 US
No real design change from our stock side skirts, its just made of Carbon Fibre. I think its a must if you go with the front air dam.

$375 US
I called specifically about this one, if you look closely its more like a "Half Autoexe Replica". Look carefully at the pic and you'll see what I mean. Any feedback on this? How does it compare to some of the AutoExe Replicas available?
http://www.dgmotorsports.com/asp/graphics/protege_rear.jpg
$199 US
Not that impressed with this piece, I may wait on this. Any feedback?
I want to try and have all this installed for Darknights and have an exhaust system in place. It's kind of tight time wise, so any feedback would be great, I do value your commments.
Oh yeah, and this is on a yellow P5 with gunmetal rims.

The hood with the ram air induction is sweet ass!! even comes with the AEM cold air intake vents.. it's almost like turbocharging your engine so if money isn't an object go with the vented hood for sure! but either way it will look sweet.

Jason, I spoke with them today. I am placing an order tomorrow. When are you gonna order?
I agree with Drew...if $ isn't an object get the ram air hood for sure.

the cf hood with the ram-air duct is fully functional. it is $400 more because it comes with some ducting that extends towards the engine and to the intake. It is meant to work with the AEM short ram intake made for the protege. on the site it states: "It comes complete with an AEM ducting and filter package". i'm not sure if the price includes the AEM intake ... but you should call and find out. for the extra $400, i wouldn't buy it and would get the normal one.
for the other parts, i don't think they visually work for me. it's kinda like putting cf all over your car and calling it cool. i guess you can tell i'm not a huge fan of CF ... http://msg.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
the lip is quite good, but again, i wouldn't put it on my car cuz it's CF.
but check out this pic.... just a CF hood looks good with the yellow. http://forum.protegemp3.com/members/mp3_moran/3-4_front.jpg

Protege5Girl: What are you ordering? I was hoping to place an orer by friday.
Chop: Thanks for that feedback, I'll ask about the AEM pieces. If the pieces weren't CF, what do you think about the styling? What about you opinion on the Yellow/CF combination, I kinda like it.
oh yeah...does anyone know Darknights website?

CF on yellow definitely looks TITE!...
I thnk the skirts might be too much but the CF lip and back piece would bring everything together. And you can't forget the brows!

I think the hood with the scoop would look sweet on your P5. My concern is that too many CF pieces on a Yellow car would prove to be too much contrast. I just hate the look of bumpers and skirts being different colours. Jay if I had a yellow car I'd stick with just the hood and wait for a better looking body kit that would look seamless with the yellow paint and body lines. Who knows you may one day you will want to shave your body, skirts, and bumpers.

Get the hood with the scoop. (very cool looking and it will make your engine happier with actual cold air)
Get the CF downforcers instead of the autoexe replica lip.
I kinda like the rear valence too but it would be sweet if someone made one with the hole cutout in the center of the car instead of off to the side (which would require a change to the exhaust pipe, but I think it would look good). Not too sold on how that part would look stuck on though.. not integrated enough with the rest of the body..

guys......one more quesiton:
What about customs? Are they gonna tax my shipment? If so how much?
Has anyone directly order something from the states? Did you get taxed?
Are there ways around this? Other than shipping to somewhere just across the boarder?
ok.....that was more than one question.
