This club is by far the most unique gathering of individuals united by our passion for our Proteges. From the very start, the protege distinguished itself from all the other cars in the market 4 years ago. From that the TOProtege.com club was started.

From that it has grew into something larger than what the original founding members had thought off. With the continued support of the members (they are the heart of the club and always will be) through participation and more importantly your DONATIONS, this tradition will continue for many years to come.

I am proud to announce some new and exciting changes that will ensure that this clubs continues to grow.

Brian aka TheKid will be moving into the roll of Sponorship. Brian has shown a strong interest into this position and is excited about making sure we as club members get the best deal in town. The role of events co-ordinator is currently open and as always, look for any of you to step up and show your interest and commitiment. Untill the officers have 100% finalized the plans for this role, the responsibilities will be shared by the current officers.

Kevin aka Tiwing will be transistioning his role as a global moderator into our NEW VICE PRESIDENT. Kevin has proven to be a reliable, dedicated and responsible member of the club. His objective views and genuine desire for a fun and exciting club has been shown over the years. Kevin will bring a new set of eyes to the council and will no doubt be supportive of all the other officer's initiatives and responsibilities.

Finally, Darren aka Scooter will be moving up to the roll of PRESIDENT. His enthusiasm and desire to make this club better, and his ability to see the potential of where this club can go is truelly an assist to all those that participate within this club.

------------

I am personally very excited to see these changes, but obviously my roll as President will come to an end effective as of today and is mixed with a bit of sadness.

I have always been very greatfull to all those that have participated in this club. The friends and memories that I have dating back to the very first meet in Markahm to the various events, dinners, BBQs, parking lot installs, visits to vendors and "spirited" message board converstations have trully created memories that I will not forget.

My decision to step down from this position is two-fold. I have had way to busy of work schedule as of late and I have not been able to keep up with the level of enthusiasm and energy as your officers have had to date. Please make no mistake, the rolls that the officer's play and the energy it takes to keep up to date with the various initiatives is time consuming (factoring in everyone's priviate life). Also, I have also purchased a new car and will be selling my "baby" off very shortly (no parting out just yet you vultures http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ).

I will still be present on the board, but will not actively be involved in the decision making process. I will definately not disappear and if my schedule lightens up...try to make it to the future meets (i'll park far away).

Please help me welcome the new officer's in their new roles.

Best Regards,

Jason Laxamana

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jason for everything he has done for this club. As one of the original 6 (founding members), he has been there since day one and has seen this board grow from its infancy to where it is today.

Jason has always been around to answer people's questions, speak from his experiences, and the man is a wealth of knowledge. He does all of thi in his calm, cool, and professional way.

He will definitely be missed, but we know that this is not the last we will see of him.

Jason,...THANK YOU for being one of the key people that built this club. I wish nothing but the best for you in your future endevours.

Only met him once last year at MOM, and our conversaion helped me "get my ass in gear" on building my ride. I found him to be a very personable and straight-to-the-point person.

Sad to see you sell the ride. I think you should sell it as it is. One shot get it over with. That is what I would do.

My thrid favorite car is one you just bought. Good choice. Will I see the Greedy TT on it anytime soon?

Anyways, great job on building the club to what it is today.

Jason first I would like to say that I have only spoken to you in person a few times but you are still as nice as you are on this board. You have been a highly respected person and I honestly do not think you could have done much more than you have done for this community. So I commend you on an amazing job and wish you all the best.

At the same time its hard to see you go man but I wish you all the best. Good choice on the G35 its a hell of a car.

Congrats to Darren, Brian and Kevin I know that you guys will continue to do a great job.

Jason was one of the first members that I met. I think it was back at the Toprotege Christmas dinner of 2003. I really admired your car. I think you have one of the coolest protege5 in our club. Sad to see you go.. but happy to see that you have a new toy now.

Congrats to Darren, Brian and Kevin on their new positions. I haven't met Brian yet, but i'm sure i will someday.

Jason you've been an inspiration to most if not all the rest of us with the way you've done your car - done it the RIGHT way - no ghetto stuff there. I took a lesson early on from you about that!

You've also built one of the best clubs around, and always acted in the best intrest of the club. Sad to see you step down, but I hope you'll still come around and say hello... Best of luck to you Jason!

(oh, and good choice on the new car too *droooool*)

Congrats to everyone's new appointments. I'm sure you'll continue to do a great job as usual.

Sorry to see Jason go. I have to admit that just sitting in that car seemed like you were already doing 100mph.

Take it easy Jason and many thanks.

Hey Jason,

Although i've only met you once, that one time change the way i thought of the club altogether. For those who don't know what i am talking about we had planned an afternoon for a couple of hours to install a set of guages that i had just purchased and through a few PMs, Jason agreed to help me install the set of guages. We ended up spending an entire afternoon and well into the late hours just to get everything wired up the way it should. I think most people would have called it a night after a couple of hours, but you stood right there by my side to get it done. Not only did you get it done right, you never even asked for anything in return but seemed to be happy for me because i was happy that it got done.

I appreciate everything that you had put into this board and it's really sad to see your ride go (your P5 is definitely one of my favourite! ) but i guess all good things do come to an end. Hope to see you on the road one day with the new ride of yours. I'm sure it will be another start to a great beginning when you take on another position with the G club.

Congratulations to all the new positions: Darren, Brian and Kevin even though i haven't met two of them. Darren, you seem to know what you are doing and it shows that you have everything under control so i know everything will run just as smoothly as Jason did.

Thank you again Jason for everything you have done! http://ib2.toprotege.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Although everything has been pretty much said, I'll say it again. You're definitely the driving force behind the club and all the good things that have come out of it. Good luck with the G35...and I mean good luck trying to not spend money modding it, because we all know you will!!

Jason, great times and great memories. I hope all is well with you. Wish you best of Luck.

I am glad to see the this club is still running strong. I hope it continues. I am one of the original 6 with Jason. It's been a while. I had sold my car back in Feb 2004 due to life changing situation, such as getting married, buying a condo, now I drive a 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro. It's not a P5 but it gets me arround.

P.S. The only reason I'm posting this is because I've finally run out of money, so the strip joint had to kick me out of the VIP booths. No more whores for me...well, for today at least. So, who wants to lend me their sister/girlfriend/mother/aunt/grandma/dog?
